Hey again, ladies! Still trying to learn about my cycles here. I had my lowest temp drop on CD11 at 97.3, and two days before that I had tons of EWCM and pink mucus which I think was O-spotting---so I believe that those were signs of my impending ovulation. What do you think? My temps have (so far) remained up, but I only have two in a row so far (I'm now on CD13). (Side note: my cycles are often shorter than 27 days, so O'ing this early wouldn't be weird. You can see my period chart here.)

Sorry sweetie... but there's no chart there when I click on the link. If you can re-post your chart... I'll be happy to take a look and give you my .02

I can't see your chart either. If you go to Home Page Set up you will see a copy and paste url. Can you try reposting it?

Based on your temps and CM I would say you have not ovulated yet. You really can't see a temp shift yet. Your temp went up on day 12 and then right back down. All of your temps are pretty close to the range of your other pre-o temps. What you want to see is a temp rise that is higher than your preo temps. When you see that you can have a good idea that you have o'd. You do like you are getting closer to ovulating though. Even though your cycles are typically shorter that doesn't necessarily mean you will ovulate early this cycle.

Keep on charting. You will have a better idea of when you ovulate soon!

Thanks, patty! I really need to stop looking for things so early; it's just so hard not to see any pattern, and I'm worried that my cycle will rollercoaster like this all month. I guess in order to have post-O temps, they'd need to be in the 98's, and I'm rarely in the 98's even awake! I've always run cold, being around 97.6 almost every time I go to the doctor's (or lower). So, it just seems impossible. lol. But I hope I see differently as the month goes on!

You really just don't know what your own patterns will be like until you chart for a while. My first chart looked so stinky that I quit temping but then on the next cycle I could start to see a pattern. My charts to me don't look like the text book examples. I have my own patterns.

Just keep at it. I think since you are having regular cycles you probably are ovulating and you just need to be patient. You may be shocked when you see your temp finally go up! I also think obsessing over it can delay your ovulation so take a deep breath and try not to stress yourself out!

I agree with Patty.

And if it makes you feel any better... my temps RARELY go into the 98's Post-Ov. I've gotten two... maybe three temps in the 98 range... and that's low 98's.

Individual temps mean NOTHING... it's all about the pattern and it takes a little bit of time for that pattern to develop. I have full confidence that you will see your pattern emerge and it will give you the info you are looking for.

Thanks again, ladies. An unfortunate turn of events has just made itself known last night: I've gotten a bad cyst on my left ovary again. The only other time I felt this identical pain had me in the emergency room because it was so severe (and I didn't know what was causing the pain), and they did an ultrasound to diagnose a hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary. The resulting effect on my cycle can be seen in my period chart back in April, when my cycle legth was unexpectedly 36 days long.

Last night the pain got really bad (thank God for pain pills), and the swelling over my left ovary is noticeable just from looking at my stomach. So, I'm wondering if my cycle will be weird again because of it. I mean, for the past four or five days, I've kept getting random surges of EWCM, and then nothing, so I just don't know what to think. My body probably WANTS to ovulate, but then keeps getting thrown out of wack by this developing cyst. *sigh* Just my luck, on my first month's attempt at temping.
