Do you have names picked out for your "future" baby?

I do! It may be silly, IDK...but me and my hubby have chosen:

Kaeson Parker (boy) and Mailey Claire or Mailey Charlotte (girl).

Cute! It's not silly! Our boy will be William Patrick and we have no idea for our girl yet!! We cannot agree on a good girl name!

We never EVER came up with names before we were preggo! In fact, we didn't even discuss names until we knew what we were having. During this TTC part of our lives though, we did come up with names before we got preggo. It's not common for us...but for some reason we just felt the need to have names before hand.

I like William. It's a good and strong name for a boy!

I have Azalynn, Aniya and Leyton for my children now and I think Kaeson and Mailey go good with their names!

Did you two argue about names? Serg and I did. We fought all the time about our children's names. Whatever I liked, he hated, and what he liked, I hated. It was horrible.

I rember BF saying once (before I even went off B/C) that when we had a boy he wanted to name him Joseph Allen. Not exactly sure what the significance is, though. Joseph is BF's middle name but I'm not sure if it's a family name or what. And his dad's name is Al, but that's short for Albert (and he's not super close to his dad). I think he had a grandpa Al, too - again, not sure what that Al is short for.

I have lots of girl names that I like, but we haven't really discussed names or anything like that.

We have decided if it's a boy the middle name will be Thomas after my DH's first son who is 16 and who he hasn't seen since he was 2 because the mother is a nut.....We don't have a first name picked out but I like Alexander.

I have some names picked out for a girl but I havn't discussed them with my husband. I love the name Sophia and right now I am kind of liking Sophia Josie. A few months ago I like Emma Sophia, but I mentioned Sophia to DH and I don't think he likes it.

I'm kind of thinking somewhat along the same lines for a girl.

This is the first time I've mentioned this here (I don't openly talk about it much) but BF dated a girl about 6 years ago and she got pregnant. More than anything, BF wants to be a dad (he loves kids and is fantastic with them and his dad wasn't so great - alcoholic - so he kind of wants to make up for that). He was absolutely thrilled.

Their relationship was falling apart anyway but he supported her all through the pregnancy (she was seriously bi-polar/borderline suicidal). She had a little girl (she and 2 of his nephews were born within 2 weeks of eachother) and they named her Isabella. BF got her on the weekends and loved her and spoiled her like crazy.

Then when Isabella was 9 months old, the mother came out and told him he's probably not the father. They went to court and had tests done and found out Isabella really wasn't his (she's basically lied to him for 1 1/2 years). He was absolutely devastated and it really ruined his life for a while. He wanted to die but his family was catholic so he couldn't just off himself. Insead, he put himself in really bad situations, got 3 DUI's which lead to a felony conviction and 120 days in prison.

In jail, he decided to turn his life around so when he got out he moved from St. Louis to Kansas City because most of his nieces/nephews are here and his oldest brother (who he really looked up to as a kid) and baby brother (who is a really fantastic guy) are here. We met at work and I know one of the reasons he's with me is because I'm good for him (I've always been kind of a goody two shoes and stayed out of trouble). And despite the DUI's/felony, I know that deep down he really is a good person (you'd have to be to go through what he's been through and still want to struggle to turn things around).

I know Isabella still means a lot to him because he still keeps pics of her and it's still kind of hard for him to talk about her (he asked me to throw away the photo album of when she was born because he couldn't do it, but I know he still has a few pics).

So anyway, he hasn't even mentioned anything about it, and I'm not even sure he'd want to, but I want to stay open to the possibility of using Isabella as a middle name if we had a girl. All that is a painful memory for him so I'm not going to suggest it, but just in case, I want to have a few first names that would go well with Isabella just in case.

Thats so funny Christine! My dad's name is Thomas Alexander! I used to say that I would name my son Alexander Thomas, but that was back when I was like 16!

We don't have a boy name picked out yet. We've got a few floating around... but nothing that I'm prepared to give the final OK to.

Now if we have a little girl... we're good to go. DH and I sat down one night talking about babies and names and such. Together we came up with Kira Leigh. (Leigh is his mom's name). Once we said it out loud... it was decided. I LOVE IT!

Tchelle - my DH's story is simiar to yours but after getting tested he is the father. He had him for weekends also but then she started getting very controlling and saying she didn't want their son around DH's family, he actually had to get a retraining order against her, she broke the the front window to his house I beleive...and she has a criminal record and she winds up with sole custody - go figure!! She actually found me on MySpace and wrote me this letter about us moving out of state and how "we can't hide from her" and that "she knows where we are at all times" thats when I knew all the stories I heard about her must have been true.

Sorry for getting OT!

Coley - I think the name Alexander Thomas sounds really good together! Thats funny that its your dads name (backwards anyway),

"Stupid" (as BF's family likes to call her), actually stopped by his parents house several months ago and brought BF's mom a little coffee mug with candy & such in it. She said she was just thinking about them and thought they'd like to see Isabella. Like they really need to be reminded of the granddaughter they thought they had who was ripped away from them (even after he found out she wasn't his, he still wanted to keep her, but he had no claim).

It amazes me that someone can do that to someone else. . .

Anyway, for girls, I do like the fancier, not quite every day names, like Brianna or Alyssa. And I never really thought about it before, but since you mentioned it, Sophia is a pretty name. One good thing is BF only has the 2 nieces (boys run in his family) so Jessica and Savannah are the only 2 girl names already taken.

We dont have names picked. It gets really hard to pick the more kids you have. It has been taking us longer and longer each time to pick a name we can agree on. At first we had names picked like the first trimester.. with my last one I think he was named sometime after 20 weeks when we knew he was a boy.. lol Not sure how itll go with number 7, ESPECIALLY if its another boy! They are harder to pick than girls names for sure!

We don't have any names picked out since we are not really TTC or preventing. Our last son wasn't named until he was born. We had a list of about 25 and waited a couple of hours until we got to know him to decide. I loved doing it that way and we probably will do that again if we have another one.

I really love the name Olivia Kathleen if we have a girl; that was the name we had picked out along with Ethan. If we have another boy... I have no idea! I was probably 30 weeks before we settled on Ethan Michael. Maybe Jackson or Steven as a middle name, but no idea for a first.

We have a list. lol. I composed it and DF picked out the names which he agreed on. For a girl, we like Alexandrea and Naomi. The middle name would be Isabella or Arabella, respectively. For a boy, we're not quite so decided. The middle name is definitely Michael, since that's a family name on my side (all boys have Michael as either a first or middle name). We like (for now) Alec and Leonardo.

We have different views about baby names---for instance, he likes simple, common names, and I like creative, beautiful names with at least three syllables. So, it's been hard to get where we're at. I'm just happy that we at least have a list now.

Me and DH both like Bella for a girl, and I also like Nora. For a boy, I like Cullen and Connor, but DH doesn't, he really likes Layne ( I think it would work as a middle name).

I picked out my DD's name 2 years before I even had her. It's like she existed for all that time then I finally got to meet her.
My hubby and I know if we have a boy this time around his name will be Owen. Not sure on a middle name!!
If it's another girl I am thinking of the name Lilly ;-)
