I had found a site that told me what your temp does if you take it earlier or later than normal but I can't seem to find the info again. I chart my real times and temps on FF, but have another site I put info in as well, and adjust the temps accordingly if I had to take my temp earlier or later than normal. It's not that I rely on that site of adjusted temps, I just like to see the possibilities.

For me it's the shift work and not always getting 3 hours of sleep, or DF and the dog going for a pee earlier than normal that wake me up

I don't know 100% what happens, but I've tested it before and it doesn't matter if I take my temp an hour early, late or on time, I get the same temp. So I don't worry too much about it

I tend to not adjust mine... but I do like to put it into an adjuster just to see for my own curiosity.

This is the site I use: Basal Body Temperature Adjuster - WhenMyBaby

Honestly, I'm pretty consistent about when I take my temp. BF's work schedules varies somewhat (and I drive him to work) so sometimes we get up at 6, sometimes we get up at 5, sometimes at 4. On the weekends he'll sleep in but I'll wake up for a while around 7 or 8.

Just whenever I first get up, I temp. I also don't temp laying in bed - BF doesn't know I'm temping. I get up and take a few steps into the bathroom and temp in there.

And really, I don't think it makes that much difference for me.

I've even gotten up & temped, made BF's lunch, drove him to work, came back and temped again and it's been the same.

Theoretically your temp goes up by .2 degrees for every extra hour you sleep. But, like the other girls I haven't found that to be the case when I have experimented with my temp taking. I usually don't adjust my temps if I oversleep or wake up early. I just mark my chart with an open circle.

So, I did the same experiment today... and got the same temp when I woke up 3.5 hours later. I think I will just temp when I wake the first time if it's between 5 and 7 and not worry about it

Update... so just for funnsies I took my temp again... hey, it's my day off, I'm still in my jammies and felt the need to be silly! So, this morning at 6am it was 98, at 9:30 it was 98 and just now at 3 after a day of moving around it was 98.1... so, when I can't do the same time due to life stuff that we can't control I'm not going to worry about it
