Currently I am just keeping track of my period, but I want to start charting again. I used to use Fertility Friend, but just found My Monthly Cycles. Is there a big difference between the two? I want to do the premium versions so I want to get my money's worth. Which one should I sign up for and why?

Hi there. Welcome to the Fertility Charting board! I use Fertility Friend but I think My Monthly Cycles is probably good too. Do you know a lot about charting or are you going to need a lot of help interpretting your chart? If you need a lot of help and want the most accurate chart I would use TCYOF by ovusoft. It is not free though. My second choice would be fertility friend but I really don't have enough experience with My Monthly Cycles to say. I just looked over their Premium Fertility tour and it looks like you have to enter your ovulation day yourself which I think would be hard to do if you were a new charter.

I read TCYOF three years ago, and did quite a bit of charting. Due to my alternating work schedule I stopped since I wasn't getting acurate results. One day I would work at 11 PM another 4:30 AM. It was impossible for me to temp at the same time every day. Even though I couldn't temp, I still watched for my other fertility signs.

There was one thing that I noticed My Monthly Cycles has that FF doesn't. They have a mobile web page view for cell phones. This is a huge selling point for me since I'm on my phone more than my computer. Right now I'm leaning towards them, but would love any input. Has anyone used MMC?

I say go with the one that you are most interested in! It sounds like you know a bit about charting so you may not need the extra help with interpretting your chart. I would try it out and see what you think!

I did when I was TTC the 1st time. The big thing I didn't like is that it needed me to input the length of my LP. I had always been on BCP so I had NO idea. Turns out it was much shorter than 14 days, so MMC was off predicting my O day. I realized this could be the case, so we just BD'd for a few days before & after MMC estimated O day. I think if you have really regular, predictiable cycles MMC would be good. If you're not sure about the length of your cycle or LP, I would try FF.
Good Luck!

Wow, that's really good to know. My cycles are CRAZY so I really don't want to enter it in myself. Thanks for the info!
