Do your other kids know you're TTC?

My girls know that we might have another baby someday. What about you guys? Do your kids know you're TTC??

No, none of my children know we are TTC. I think they are too young really...this is something that they don't need to have on their minds.

I have one child, a son who is 7. I was single most his life and he's never spoken of or asked for a sibling. I was just married three months ago and ever since he wont stop asking for a sibling. We told him it takes time and we weren't trying yet. Then just this cycle my dh and I decided to ttc without telling him. Weirdest thing is that just this week he's started speaking of a baby in my belly who's going to be his sister or brother.

My kids know I want another baby but they don't really know what ttc is yet. They know that I lost twins a while back and sometimes tell people about it which sometimes is just weird. I like to be open with my kids I just only tell them as much as I think they are ready to know about.

Jonah would in no way understand; he is still trying to figure out half the things we are saying to him as he's not even a year old yet

I had to chime in here though because of the above post. When I was pregnant with Jonah and didn't know it yet (I was nearly two months pregnant when I did realize that I should test), I was teaching a preschool class. It was Thanksgiving, and we were doing a unit on native americans, so we had a tipi set up in the drama area, and I made a papoose for the kids to wear the baby dolls in. One of the little girls called me into the tipi, and she had the doll in the papoose, and she said "Miss Jessie, this is your baby. You're going to have a baby soon, and I'm pretending that I'm taking care of it. Her name is Jordan."

About a week later I was really creeped out when I found out that SHE WAS RIGHT LOL So you never know; your son might be right! Maybe kids have a sixth sense for this.

That just reminded me, at Girl Scouts the other night, we were all eating pizza and my oldest DD said, "Mom, don't eat too much! You might be pregnant!" In front of EVERYONE!! So embarrassing!!! I was like... O M G!!! It was funny though. I had to tell her not to tell our famly in CA yet! Ha!
