Hi all, I'd really appreciate some help understanding my chart. First off, here's my chart as of today:
284f54 Ovulation Charts
Okay, now the story: I have just three days ago arrived home from nearly three weeks of travel. Before traveling I always temp'd around 7:00 am after a good 8 hrs of sleep. We left Florida around cd1 traveled to Ohio for a few days then we flew Las Vegas on cd 6. You can see my huge jump in temperature on cd7 due to, I think, jet lag. We stayed in Las Vegas until our red-eye flight back on cd14. Neither of us could sleep a wink and we didn't get any sleep until the next morning where we only slept about 4 hours. My temp on cd15 was taken about 2pm est with 4 hours sleep. The next day we traveled back to Florida and since sleep has been sketchy. Since returning to the east coast I've not been able to fall asleep until about 2 am. The temps listed on my chart for the past four or so days have been after only 3-4 hours sleep. Here's my biggest question: When I fall back to sleep and wake up after a good 8 hours of sleep, my temps are much higher. Both this morning and yesterday my temps have been nearly 98 degrees when I wake up well rested, which is around 11 am.
I almost always have a 28 day cycle, ovulating on cd 14-15. This is the first month I've taken a b50 complex. If I had recorded my temps later in the morning after a good solid 8 hours of sleep my chart would look like a classic ovulation chart with nice high temps after supposed ovulation. However, with sleep deprivation my temps look iffy. I wonder if I even ever did ovulate.
Which is more accurate? The time of day you temp, or the amount of sleep you get? Is it possible that the trip has completely thrown me off? How good are my chances of actually ovulating while traveling like that? And the most bizarre thing, for two days now I've had really noticeable twinges in what I think is my uterus that I only have ever had when newly pregnant with my son 8 years ago. It seems so early for pregnancy symptoms though.
Anyway, that's that. Thanks in advance for the peeking at my chart.
