Yesterday and this morning my temps were really high, as I mentioned in another post. Yesterday I did not sleep well because Jonah kept coughing- it almost sounded like croup, so I kept waking and checking on him at the slightest noise. Then last night I had nightmares. When I woke up at 8:15, which is my time to temp, I was sweating all over and felt so hot I couldn't stand it, like I was sleeping in a sauna or something. DH said I was tossing and turning and talking in my sleep. My nightmares were terrible- of someone coming in the house and shooting my family and I was trying to hide in the closet. I have nightmares like that A LOT, and have since I was a kid. I used to take medication for it because I would sleepwalk too, and sleepwalking+vivid nightmares are not good at all.

So anyway, since I do have nightmares frequently, I'm wondering if this could be why my temps shot up. There were a few other places in my chart where the temps are higher than the temps around them, and I wish I had written down if they were nightmare temps. I guess that will be on my chart next month for sure.

Does anyone else have experience with nightmares and temps?

It sounds very likely to me. Afterall you aren't resting, you're tossing and turning and that could cause your temp to rise.

I used to have issues with nightmares like that when I was younger but not now. I do think it could be affecting your sleep but I don't think being hot like that sounds like it is from the nightmares. I am wondering if something else is causing you to feel so hot. Is it hot in the house or are you the only one sweating?

I sometimes have nightmares like that too, but haven't had any since I started charting. I had bad dreams before I woke up today but I was more scared than hot.
