Have you taken a vacation this summer?

Where'd ya go? What'd ya do? and did you chart while you were on vacation?

Well this is kind of my vacation. But DF and I are going to a real vacation in couple of weeks and we're going to Niagara falls and we'll stop by Toronto on our way back. We'll also be doing few other day trips, probably to Frankenmuth, MI, and Point Pelee, the southern most point in Canada. We've been to Frankenmuth twice now, and it's going to be our family tradition to go there once a year. It's beautiful and they have this Bavarian restaurant where is always overeat, the food is so good. We've been to Point Pelee once before and it's absolutely beautiful!

Yeah, kind of, it was mostly with BF's family, though.

We went down to the Ozarks (big lake/resort area in Missouri) with his mom, dad, aunt, uncle, nephew, and 2nd cousin for 3 days. Then we went back to St. Louis for 3 days for 4th of July and visited with his family there. Then last weekend we went on a float trip with his brother, sis-in-law, niece, & nephew and a bunch of friends.

WE haven't really had any holiday since our wedding which was 8 months ago but we have been away for a few long weekends and I still charted while I was away and just wrote in down till I came home and then up dated mt chart.

I just got from a short trip to AZ for my BF's baby shower. My DD's sleep was so messed up that I didn't temp at all. DH and I are going to Reno for one night next weekend.

We usually don't vacation in the summer because it is his very busy time for him at work. I'm also pretty done doing vacations with Elizabeth until she gets older, it is just too hard.

Frakenmuth is kinda close to where I am! I see signs for it all the time when I have to go on the highway for anything. And we used to visit Pelee all the time when I was a kid! We would sail there on my dad's boat, which was basically sailing across the narrow part of Lake Erie (narrow as a relative term LOL) We would go to Pelee for a couple of days and then to Leamington, ON for a couple more. It was our favorite place to camp, because it is a stop for the monarch butterflies on their migration. So pretty

Jonah and I kinda took vacation. We went back to Cleveland to do some things for the house that we are selling, and we got to spend a lot of time with my family doing summer type stuff. It felt like we were on vacation, even though I was doing a lot of work on the house. We went sailing, and went to the park with my nephew, and saw fireworks. We're going on other vacations as well this year. In a couple of weeks we'll be going to Utah to meet Daryl's family. I've met some of his aunts and uncles at a family wedding, but I haven't met his grandparents and a vast majority of his family. Daryl can't even name all of his aunts and uncles, and doesn't know who is a cousin etc. His family in Utah is HUGE. We're also going to be doing some hiking there, and he wants to show me the temple even though neither of us can go inside. I'm excited- Daryl doesn't talk about his mormon history all that much, and I just want to understand it a little more. We're also going to Alcupoco to read on the beach, and I'm planning on spending a day at the spa while I'm there (I like to pretend that I have a luxiourious life, but really I'm already saving my pennies for it LOL) I'm trying to get down to Florida to see my grandparents. They are not well at all. I promised my grandma that I will go visit, but my grandpa sent me an email telling me not to come. That broke my heart, but they're getting really stubborn in their old age. They don't want anyone to come to visit or to help them

Oh, you should go visit Frankenmuth if you haven't already, it's so pretty and they have the largest christmas store in the world! That's what they say at least. It's only about 1.5 hours away from where we are. On our way from Pelee we stopped in Leamington too, such a lovely town, they had some concert on the streets so we stayed for that.

When I'm away I still chart. I just keep track of everything on the calendar in my phone then add it to FF when I get back.

I haven't been on a real vacation in a while. I have taken one or two day trips but nothing that would really mess up my chart. I am wanting to take a road trip across country to go see the Grand Canyon and some other places. I am trying to plan it out but I haven't gotten very far with it yet.
