Not sure what is going on honestly. I am hoping that the low temp means you will ovulate soon but honestly I don't know. You seem to ovulate pretty late in your cycle so hopefully you will see a big temp spike (that sticks) soon!

I'm going to say you haven't ovulated yet, b/c on your last chart you had a large range of temps from pre-o to post-o, so I think these might be a normal fluctuation for you. But, I'm new at all this charting stuff....FWIW

I thought my temp would spike today and I told myself that if it did, it was a sign to hold off on TTC (because we didn't get to DTD). I applied for a great job last night and it would mean that we would have to wait at least 6mos-1year to try again so I could have insurance and be eligible for maternity leave/FMLA.
Also, is it possibly that I could O twice - like, did I O around CD14, or are my temps too staggered for that to have happened?

You only O once a month. Now that's not to say that your body won't prepare to O and not actually O at that point, then prepare to O again and finally do it.
So while you may see signs of O more than once on a chart, you will only actually O one time per month.
HTH.

Hmm, that's confusing because I've heard many a story about Oing twice in one cycle - doesn't that happen when you have fraternal twins?
Fraternal Twins are the most commonCommon cold type of twins. They are the result of the union of two eggs and two sperm. They may not look alike and can be different sexes.

No. In the case of fraternal twins, you release more than one egg, but they are both released at the time of ovulation, which only happens once per cycle.

Actually there is new scientific research that suggests that women can sometimes ovulate twice in one cycle. I read this a while back. It was published in the journal of Fertility and Sterility. Here's a few links about this study.
Women can ovulate more than once a month - 09 July 2003 - New Scientist
Women may ovulate two or three times a month
However, I have read more current news saying that this study was misinterpreted. I still found it interesting.
I think ovulating twice in one cycle could happen, such as with fraternal twins, but it doesn't happen very often. And, from looking at your chart you do not look like you have ovulated yet. I think you are looking at the big temp shifts as possible ovulation dates. When you ovulate you will see a sustained temp rise. Your temp will go up and stay up for at least three days. If it goes up and back down it is just an erratic pattern and it doesn't mean that you have ovulated.
Hang in there. Hopefully you will ovulate soon.

I don't think so. I think you worded things really well. I just knew about these studies and wanted to post about them. I am very interested in learning more scientific info about what happens during ovulation. I try to keep a look out for news stories.

Yeah, I read about that study too... I think I didn't post about it because of the "misinterpreting" part. I didn't want to confuse anyone.
