When do you start OPKs?

Just wondering when everyone starts using their OPK's. Do you wait for your EWCM, or is there a certain CD that you start testing on?

I bought some more and am thinking about giving them a second chance. I will wait for EWCM and signs that my cervix is "in position" I am not sure if it is normal for me to O so late like I did last cycle, so we'll see.

I have very irregular cycles, so I started last month on my lowest possible day. (CD8 because it can predict 12 - 48 hours ahead) I had one cycle start at 19 days, and one at 25, but both of those were my first cycle coming off BCP. This cycle I think I will wait till about CD 12.

It looks like your O date was pretty clear on your chart last month so maybe start 3 - 5 days before then? What kind of OPK did you get and how many? I've noticed that mine get darker as I get closer to a positive.

I start around CD 9 or 10 I O between CD 12 to CD 16. The box I get has 7 tests in it so I have a full week of tests. Mine also get darker as I get closer to O. Good Luck.

I take my first OPK on CD 11.

I usually start around CD 8 or 9. This is because my cycles aren't totally regular. Some cycles are only 24 days and others are like 31 days. I like to start early in case I ovulate early. I just test once a day until I start seeing a faint line on the tests and then I start testing twice a day.

This cycle I started testing on CD 11. My lines are still very faint, and last month I ovulated on day 31, so I'm thinking it's still early but just in case, I use opks to see, maybe I'll ovulate earlier this time around

It is very clear on my chart when I ovulated last cycle. But I had signs that I was going to O earlier than that- EWCM, spotting, etc. I think it got delayed due to a foot injury (foot injuries are a symptom of the overall diagnosis- klutziness) I really was positive that I was going to O soon, and then I fell down the stairs and broke my foot, and didn't O for like a whole other week. My OPK's last cycle were getting darker, and I really thought it would be positive because the one before was SO CLOSE, but then it was a super faint line.I gave up with them after that, but they are getting a second chance.

I took one today, and the line wasn't faint but not dark either. My CM is still really only creamy and not EW so I kinda expected that, I was just curious if I would get any line....
