My free membership is about up at fertility friend. Is it worth it to pay for it? I'm thinking maybe I'll just finish out the cycle and if I am still charting then I will see decide then.

I was wondering the same thing. I actually just use the regular free version and it works fine for me. I wanted to buy the VIP one but I don't want to pay the money and then find out I'm preggo (yes I'm cheap.. hahaha)

I like it better but it depends on how important it is to you. I mostly like being able to look back at all my charts and a few other things. I probably could make due with the free version but I prefer the pay one. I just paid for it for the year. It was $45 for the year. I was paying for it for just a few months at a time but as long as I have been trying I just decided to pay for the whole year.

If I don't end up being preggo this month then I'll prob pay for it. I am also trying the ovusoft one and I really like that. So i need to pick which I like better and buy it

When I signed up this time I was not going to get it but I did miss the VIP features but I did not get it a couple of weeks later I got a week free trial then they gave me the offer for $16 for 3 months and I went for that one. I do like the VIP but I am not sure if I am going to order it again. If I knew for sure I would be TTC this cycle I would buy it.

Sorry to butt in, but I have the VIP trial now and it expires in 3 days. Am I going to lose the last months chart info if I don't pay for VIP? I don't want to lose it!! I might just have to print it then...I, too, am cheap and don't want to pay but it's just my luck that I WOULD pay and then get preggo right away, so maybe I should!

You won't lose your chart info if you revert to a basic membership (the free one).

I used to have the FF VIP when it was free! Then I bought for a year (instead of a lifetime). I don't miss it. I now charting inside and out so the only thing I sometimes miss are the message boards but JM takes care of that! And, my closer FF friends (a group of five girls that helped me through my miscarriages) are all Facebook friends now so we stay in touch.

I think it's worth it but everyone is different. I like keeping track of my different charts.

I personally think it's worth it. I like the additional info it provides like the Fertility Analyzer which gives me a cycle summary.

I thought $45 for an entire year wasn't too bad. I figured that I would happily pay the money to have all of the information I could get at my fingertips in order to get this baby.

It's a purely personal thing though... if you don't have or don't want to spend the money on it, I'm sure the free version will do just fine.

I tried the Ovusoft software too and really found that I preferred FF... again, a personal choice.

I actually think Ovusoft is the better software of the two. They use the fertility awareness method and I think it is more accurate. I just find it a pain in the butt to use because you have to upload your chart every day. I also don't like that all your charts are not on one page. You have to go through each one at a time to look at them. If they could merge the two I think that would be my favorite.

Also ladies, when you do get your BFP, FF lets you transfer your membership to their pregancy site. So no money lost
