Last month, my OPK was very clear. Five days after AF's end, I got a ligher than medium test line. The next evening, I got two equal heavy dark pink line.

Something terribly happened last month. Consistantly, a 27-day for 15+ years, I suddenly I got another period in the middle of my cycle approximately 17 days (July 16) after AF's on July 3rd.

So, I started testing four days after AF, and am continuing to get a very light pink test line every evening on my OPKs.

I am charting BBT, CM, and OPK. I am faithful about my BBT except for one day, when I woke up 30 minutes early.

I am already calling this cycle Ovuatory. I think the only thing I can do is to wait for AF to show up on August 12th.

AF
May 07-11
June 03-07
June 29-July 03
July 17-20
Aug 12 expected

Check my chart, please. Do you agree?

It is way too early for you to be calling this anovulatory!!!

Your chart looks fine so far to me.

As for the opk question. OPKs detect LH. LH is always in your system so you will almost always have a faint line that shows up on your opk. That is normal. When you get close to ovulating your LH levels spike (called an LH surge)and that is when you see the dark line on your test. After your LH surges you will ovulate a day or two later (sometimes longer).

I think since you haven't had a positive opk yet you just aren't there yet. Since you are getting older my guess is that is why your cycles are changing. Mine used to be like clockwork too but now they are not as regular and are heavier than they used to be. I don't know your history but are you working with a fertility specialist?

You also might want to consider testing in the early afternoon instead of the evening. The LH surge typically occurs in the morning and you would see the result on an afternoon test. If you have a fast surge (e.g., some women only get one + OPK a cycle and it is close to O), you might miss it on an evening OPK.

I usually test around 1 or 2 pm.

Patty, no I am not working with a specialist, but just had a gyn appointment and everything checks out normal. She is also my PCP who I have been seeing for 16 years

The mid cycle AF is abnormal, first and only time it has happened. However, this is the first time I have TTC in about 2 years and we thought we hit it just right. Afterward, I had tons of creamy cm through July 16. That morning there was a lot. Wiped 3 times and got streaks of pink. Nothing more until the next afternoon with a heavy red AF.

Nothing about this cycle feels right.

Spoke to my doctor about it and she is doing test. Have not received results yet. I did have an exordinary stressful month. But I can bet you that it will show up on the 27th day.
