You posted earlier that you made belly dancing costumes. I wanna see them! Can you post any pics? Do you belly dance?

I can totally post some pics of the stuff I've made. Yeah I do some belly dancing myself. I took a class a number of years ago back when we lived in Central PA. I haven't found another class to get with since we moved... so I haven't been doing it as much as I used to... just on my own now. It's great exercise!

Ok... here we go.

This first item is a Fringe Belt. I crocheted the belt base and hand sewed on all the shells. You tie it around your waist and it swishes around while you're dancing.



This is a bra top I made. I hand sewed on all the coins, beaded trim, shells, etc.



This last one is a Hair Fall. Basically you put your hair in a bun or ponytail and then fasten this around it. It's made of different types of yarn. It gives you the appearance of longer hair (if yours is short) and you can have it match your outfit.

It's a great form of exercise and gets you in touch with your femininity!! How can you not feel sexy when you are shimmying around to great music?
