Hey everyone! I'm Lisa, married to Scott, mom to Jeremy (1.5 years old in August). I just started using FF last month and I've been lurking on this board for awhile, and finally thought I'd post a bit. I'm not quite sure I'm charting correctly, but I'm giving it a shot.

Hi Lisa! I have a Jeremy too. He is nine. He was also my first baby.

We would love it if you hung out with us and so you know we have been turning newbies over really quickly here. They all keep getting BFPs on their first cycle charting so.... maybe you will too!!!

Can I see your chart? The big things you need to know is
one) You really need a bbt thermometer and not just a fever thermometer
two) You should try to temp at the exact same time every day and do NOT get out of bed when you take your temp.
three) You should try to have at least three hours of sleep
four) You should also be charting your cervical mucous

If you do these things your chart should be easy to read. I would also recommend reading our charting school subforum (still a work in progress) and JM also has a good charting section under "Getting Pregnant".

Also ask lots of questions. We like answering them! Glad you joined us!!!!

Here is a link to my chart (I hope it works!): 28b86d Ovulation Charts I started charting part of the way through last month's cycle so that's on there too. I'm using the free VIP trial, but it's about to expire. Now that I've used it, I'll probably buy it. I saw you have a stalking chart sticky and I'll throw the link up there too.

I'm going to run and get a new thermometer today. We just have a regular one and I'm definitely not consistent about taking it at the same time everyday (and I've never taken it in bed) so maybe that will help a bit!

HI Lisa!! I am Sandy SAHM to Jessie 13 and Paige 3. I am so glad that you decided to join us. It took me a few months to get used to charting but it really helped me get my BFP with Paige so we are doing it this time around to. I think your chart looks good it really takes a few cycles to know what to look for..... or it did me anyway. Good Luck in TTC and please feel free to ask us anything!

I think that will help but your chart from last cycle had a pretty clear thermal shift. Some people can get away with using a regular thermometer and not being totally consistent but the more consistent and accurate you are the better. It just makes your chart easier to read. Not temping at the same time and getting up out of bed can make your temps fluctuate. Any time your body uses energy like moving around it can shift your temperature. Your waking temp is your body's temp at rest so it is the most accurate.

Your chart is looking good so far! Looking forward to stalking your chart!
