I'm making stuffed chicken thighs, mashed potatoes from scratch, sautéed asparagus and I've already got a Strawberry Ice Cream Terrine setting up in the freezer for dessert.
So ladies... what's on the menu at your house tonight?

Teryaki chicken breast, corn on the cob, sauteed veggies, and a salad. For dessert...probably fat free sherbet.

Mmmm! Sounds good Candace!!
Corn on the cob!! I just bought 12 ears from the store the other day. If we didn't have asparagus that needs to be eaten, we'd be having corn too!!

Yea, I may cut off the salad because I didnt realize how much food that was...but then again I do have a big appetite.
I LOVE grilled corn on the cob...oh my goodness!!! I am salivating just thinking about it!!
How do you sautee your asparagus? Do you put any spices or marinates with it? I am trying to aquire new tastes and I am having trouble with asparagus. I like to dip it in fat free ranch...and thats about it lol.

I'm coming to your house!
I have NO idea what I'm making. It's just me and my little guy tonight (DH is working) so I won't be making much.

Hmm good question! Probably something quick and easy from Trader Joe's - my cabinets are bare and I don't feel like doing a big grocery shopping trip just yet

HA HA! C'mon over!!
Candace - When I make asparagus I drizzle it with sesame oil and add some kosher salt. Then I toss it around in the pan just until it turns bright green. The nuttiness of the sesame oil is what really makes it good!!

HA HA!!! Yeah, it's not dinner time here yet either... but I try to get things planned and/or started early in the day so I know what I'm doin'.
and btw... I LOVE LOVE LOVE Trader Joe's!! We used to shop there when we lived in CA and when we moved back to the East Coast, there were no Trader Joe's which was TRAGIC.
They have since made their way out here and I've got one minutes from my house! SO HAPPY!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I rarely cook anymore. We eat convenience foods way too often or DH cooks. Tuesday is our pizza night so we will probably have pizza.
I really enjoy cooking but I just have so much on my plate with going to school that I rarely make a meal from scratch. I just stocked the freezer with Lean Cuisine tv dinners and we have them a lot. I try to get healthy TV dinners but we eat them entirely too much. If I do cook it is something I throw in the crock pot or spaghetti or something easy like that.

Patty, you've got LOADS on your plate!! Going to school and a house full of kids! I'm tired just thinking about it! HA HA!!!
My friends always tease me for being so Dolly Domestic. LOL! I love it though... I just hope I still have the time once I've got a little one running around. I'm sure I'll find a way... my mom did it with two of us, so I'm sure I can do it too!

Don't worry Coley I am obsessed with cooking! I love cookbooks and the cooking network! Right now we're living with my inlaws while our house is being built-it's killing me not having my own space! But all I can think about is my gourmet kitchen that's in my new house!
