This is my first month using OPK's, and I got a for sure positive result yesterday at both 12 pm and 4 pm. Today at 12 pm it was back to being lighter, still a little dark, but definitely not positive. Is it normal for it to go back to negative the next day, or should it still be positive today to indicate O is approaching? I just noticed the box says that it indicates your two most fertile days.

Same thing happened to me. I had 1 positive, next day a barely even visible negative, day after that even darker than the ref. line positive again. It is catching a surge of LH & since our bodies aren't perfect machines I think it makes sense that the surge & levels of LH can fluctuate a bit. Don't worry - but make sure to DTD right away!!! I think it is pretty normal for it to be positive for only one day. I know for some people it can be a little longer. For me it was just the one day.

Def normal to only be positive for a day, they can indicate you will O anywhere from 12-48 hours in advance depending on which kind you are using, so some people even end up missing the surge depending when they test. Get to Bd'ing girl! Good luck!

Thanks ladies! We have been BDing ever since I saw that positive, so here's hoping we catch it! No temp jump yet, but I am hoping there will be tomorrow.

I agree with the other girls. That is perfectly normal. Sometimes I will get two or three positive opks in a row but sometimes I get just one and it turns right back to negative.

Thanks Patty, me too! Since I got the pos. Monday they have been definitely negative, but darker than they were earlier in my cycle. I hope and pray I get that temp spike tomorrow! Please, please, please!
