Um... yeah. I kinda consider myself to be fairly close with myself, if you kwim. I am perfectly comfortable with all sorts of internal investigations of my person... checking CM and CP are a piece of cake to me, not squeamish or anything, so I'm pretty familiar with the terrain, if you catch my drift.

So AF has packed up her broomstick and flown off for the most part, there's the same pink tinge to my CM like there was on Saturday night, but really she cleared off last night, yeah? So this morning when I get up to use the bathroom, I wipe, I get the all clear.

So after I get out of the shower, and commence to squat and check my CP. Um... why is my cervix so freaking high? And why does it feel so freaking soft? I pulled out TCOYF and it's saying after AF it should be low and firm. Let's just say my middle finger is my longest finger and I got a bit past my 2nd knuckle. And it does not feel at all like the tip of my nose... it feels more like my lip or my cheek.

Um... WTH?!? Am I missing something or did I not just describe a fertile cervix? And why the he l l is my cervix like that at this point in my cycle?! I cannot be ovulating right now. My temp dropped below last cycle's cover line for the past two days... so I can't be pregnant.

So... I'm just gonna sit here and wait for somebody to read this and HELP ME!! Because I've googled this and I've seen the question come up and all I see afterwards are other posts saying "Hey, did anyone ever get an answer to this because I'm in the same boat right now." And NO ONE EVER GETS AN ANSWER!

Well I something this morning that says your not supposed to check it in the morning or it will be high and soft because you haven't walked around alot and put your body weight on it to lower it and for it to get firm. It also said that your not supposed to check after a bm because the pushing can effect it to. You are supposed to check it in the evening or at night. Which could be why I had a hard time checking mine this month it was never where I thought it was supposed to be at. lol Has anyone heard this before. It came from someone who teaches natural family planning

This may be a little far fetched...but have you tested again? I know that seems silly, but you never know. Other than that, girl, I have NO IDEA!!! Patty usually has ALL the answers!!

I have spent a while trying to track down an answer for you and I can't find one. So I am just going to share my personal experience. I have checked my cervix before during AF and found it to be fairly high before. Right now I am still on AF (jealous that yours is ending and mine is still going and going) and my CP is in a Medium spot. It is not low like it should be. I would just wait and see what tomorrow brings before reading too much into it. I think it may end up shifting back down again before it shifts up for ovulation.

That is not the best answer but all I got for ya.

You know I haven't read this before but I have found my CP shifts throughout the day. I would love it if you had a good link for this. I would like to add it to our charting school.

Tonna... I hear what you're saying. I always check at the same time of day and I've always felt the changes, regardless of time of day. When I said "used the bathroom" I didn't mean to imply a BM, I just peed... I thought "used the bathroom" would sound better than "pee" LOL!!

Candace... No I haven't tested. LOL!! The thought of being pregnant had flown out of my head by Sunday morning when I woke up with cramps.

Patty... Thanks for checking around.

I checked my CP after the last period and mine was high too, couldn't reach it. I was also confused. I squat too when I check it and most of the time it's high and very hard to reach. So I tried to lay down on my bed and check that way and it I was able to reach it and find the opening, which I never found by squatting.

See I think this is normal too. I have had mine really high like this before and I have found that sometimes the info I read doesn't line up completely with my experience. I think we should do our own research on this so we can add it to our Fertility Charting School. This way the next time someone googles for an answer they can actually find one, even if it isn't completely scientific research.

Oh wow Daniela. I can usually find mine pretty easily by squatting.

I'm totally down for adding this to our resources. I've marked it in my little cycle book that I keep in my nightstand. By the end of this cycle, we'll know one way or the other if it's just a random occurrence and my cycle carries on as it normally does or if there is something different about it.

Cool. I'm like a science project! Hee hee!!

I've only been checking for a few days, but when mine was high I could only find it by laying on the bed, propped on pillows. I tried squatting, I tried putting one leg up, all if it, I couldn't find it. I think it was because I was tensed up in trying to stay squatting AND trying to learn something new.

The link didn't work for me. Probably just my Firewalls or something. *shrug* Anyway, I've checked my CP a lot throughout my cycles, and I've noticed that it generally doesn't do what I think it should be doing. For instance, remember last month when I thought that there could be a chance that I was pregnant? My CP stayed super-high and pretty soft all the way till I started (unexpectedly) bleeding. Usually, my CP is low and hard before AF starts, just like the books say it should be. But it definitely wasn't last cycle, and AF started normally. So, IMO, don't put too much weight on CP to tell you things. Just ignore today and see what it's like tomorrow.

Yeah, we've pretty much decided to just watch and see what happens.

The link didn't work for me either, it said it was broken so there might be a part of it missing.
