For the last two mornings I have been getting up a little earlier than usual- about 40 minutes. I didn't know if that would make a difference or not, so I found a temp adjuster online, and it said that yesterday's would go from 97.20 to 97.33.

The reason this is important is that if it was 97.20, then that wouldn't be quite enough of a jump to signal Oing, it would be .32 difference, and the adjusted temp would be .45. (I've read that it should be at least .4 degrees higher to signal O)

So my question is, does that adjusted temp sound right for 40 minutes earlier? I'm worried that I may not O till CD 22 again, which makes no sense to me because I had a very pos. OPK on Monday, and haven't had another one since.

I'm not a temp adjuster. I leave things as they are.

Generally, your temp changes for every hour of time difference there is. So if you wake more than an hour early, your temp will be lower than usual or if you wake more than an hour late, your temp will be higher than usual.

Since you are within that hour... I wouldn't think there's that much difference. You could also be experiencing a slow rise. I've seen charts like that both online and in TCOYF.

I think you are just going to have to keep an eye on what your temps do over the next few days to get some true clarity.

Thanks Nikki, I think you're right! Grr, stupid body, making me wait!

I just decided to record the temps as they are, and hopefully like you said it is just a slow rise!

I completely agree. I normally make my temps an open circle if they are off by more than a half hour but I have found that it hasn't really affected how my chart reads. I do have problems if it is off by a couple hours but 40 minutes shouldn't make too much difference.

And btw your chart is looking awesome today!

I never adjust my temps either, and when I'm off I have temped twice and gotten the same temp, so it might not make that big of difference for everyone. Chart looks great with todays temp!!!

Have you tried setting an alarm by your bed (i use my cell phone) for about a half hour earlier than you normally get up just to temp and then go back to sleep? I know thats what a lot of us do. My alarm goes off at four thirty - I temp and then go back to sleep without even look at it, and then my real alarm goes off at 5. When I get up I just press and hold the button for a few seconds and then the last temp shows up.

Patty and Tammy- Thanks! I was happy with my temp this morning! I finally got my CH, though they are dotted! Hopefully it will stay where it is!

robineliza- yeah I do the same thing- my hubby has an alarm set on his phone, but this week it was set for earlier than usual for a couple of days.
