HI!!! I'm Cassidy (22), wife to Zac (24), and mommy to Caden (2/19/09)! I'm an art student, a shopaholic, and blog writer! I also posted this in the ttc board too... but I figured I join here since I will be charting and know NOTHING about charting!

I had a pregnancy scare last month and I believe it caused me to be bitten by the baby bug. Apparently it bit my hubby too because when I brought up ttc yesterday he didn't run screaming! After talking about it we decided to wait 2 months until we TTC.

Well today I was thinking about it and 2 months definitely DOES NOT fit into the schedule! My sister is getting married next july or august and I'm the MOH! So i talked to dh again and we've decided to start trying right away! We will try this month and next, and if nothing happens, we will take a break until dec or jan. That way if I don't get pregnant right away I will only be 7 monthish at my sis's wedding. I'm so excited though! (Caden was conceived during my 2nd month on BC). I think it will happen soon! (hopefully!)

So i'd love to join you! I set up my Fertility Friend account tonight and ordered some Internet cheapie OPKs and Pregnancy tests! I've never charted or anything so I'll probably need all the help I can get! I also started a 2nd blog to document my TTC and 2nd pregnancy journey!

I'm off to add my chart link into my siggy! Can't wait to meet you all and join in!

Welcome!! The ladies on here are great!! They know a lot about charting and all the 'other' fun stuff that goes along with it. I am new to charting and TTC, so I am still learning myself. GL and I hope your stay is short!!!

I am so excited to see you over here. I think charting will really help you. Some pointers. If you don't have a bbt thermometer go out and get one. Your chart will not be as accurate if you try to chart with a fever thermometer. Since your cycles have played tricks on you in the past I think it is very important for you to have an accurate chart. You can buy a basal thermometer at Walgreens or CVS. If you can't find it at the store you can order it from Early-pregnancy-tests.com.

Second, make sure you find a regular time to take your temps. You need to try to take it at the exact same time every day (as much as possible). I use an alarm clock. You also need to take it BEFORE you get out of bed. Moving around can change your resting temp.

Also I would read the Charting School lessons on checking CM and CP.

I'm Nikki and we are soooo happy to have you join us!! We love having all these new girls! It's so exciting!!

I will give you the same advice that I have given to all the newbies:

1. Totally spend the $10 bucks on a BBT. It will become your best friend!!

2. Set up a Fertility Friend account, which I see you've already done, so YAY!!

3. Pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is my TTC BIBLE! It's full of great information about your menstrual cycle and things that no one ever told any of us in health class! Plus, there are pictures of all sorts of charts, which has been really handy for me at times.

I wish you all the best in your TTC journey. While I hope you get your BFP very soon, I do hope that you will stay with us! I look forward to helping you navigate your way to your BFP and getting to know you better.
