does anyone want to take a guess at what my body is doing?? My chart is just so up and down. I realize I just came off of bcp, had a light, short AF....then nothing. I know it takes time, but for goodness sakes...give me something besides going up the same temp and back down to the same temp. For those who dont know, I am just using a regular digital therm. IF there is another cycle, I will be getting a BBT but AF caught me off guard and I wasn't prepared. Plus, I am so new to learning my body, so I have no idea how accurate my CM and CPs are....I just want to stinkin' O already..... Thanks for letting me vent.

I have been looking at your chart every day. I think your body is trying to ovulate but hasn't yet. It can take a while to get back on track. The up and down pattern and all the fertile CM makes me think your body is trying. I would go to an every other day bd pattern until you get a positive opk just so you don't wear yourself out.

I'm on my second cycle after coming off of BC and the first was 42 days and I'm now on day 50 of the second. I am ovulating, it's just taking a while to do so. I was told that it could take up to 6 cycles before they level out and return back to normal length (which for me is 28 days). So no worries, it just takes some time to get back on track. :-)

Don't get discouraged, just keep doing what you're doing and you body will regulate in time. I do totally understand the frustration, I'm in the same boat. This is my second cycle charting and the first one I ovulated on day 31 of my cycle. Now this one, I'm on day 30 today and no sign of ovulation. I get a little down in the morning when I see that temp, but hopefully soon it will happen.

Me too! My stupid temp wont jump! Every day I think I'm O'ing-had a positive (blaring line) yesterday and cm so it should be soon-but seriously my temps won't jump! My husband is exhausted and I feel quilty for making him go so many times! I wish I would just O already! So I know exactly how you're feeling.

There are a lot of things they can do to help you have a sticky baby so try not to worry about that just yet.
I have seen a lot of gals ovulate late after going off the pill so I have complete faith that your body is going to get back on track. Just keep coming around here for a pep talk. I have faith that you are going to ovulate this cycle. It just may be a little later than you hoped for. Hang in there!

Candace - I agree with the other girls. You have just come off of a pill that changes all of your hormones... it's only natural that it would take some time for your body to take over. A pill has been regulating everything for you for so long, you've gotta give your body a chance to remember what it's supposed to do, ya know?
I know it's frustrating... but I would totally take solace in the fact that you're making LOADS of EWCM, which means that your body knows how to O and knows what it needs to do... it's just taking a bit longer to actually get it done.
Hang in there sweetie...

Candace, I'm sorry for your frustration! Believe me when I say I know exactly what you're going through! My temps weren't as up and down as yours, BUT my cycles are so irregular that I never know what date things are going to happen. Some of my cycles have been over 40 days since going off BCP so maybe you're going to have a long one while it all gets worked out of your system, then you'll be back on track... I'm stalking you everyday looking for your O date! lol

Thanks girls!!! I just needed to vent and get it out my system. DH has been a trooper because he knows how much this means to me (to us, but I have wanted this longer). I have been wanting to try for years, but I knew he was right when he said we weren't ready (having marital problems at the time...now we are great!!!!). Once I O I can have a sigh of relief...for a second...then on to the 2WW. Goodness, I knew I was impatient, but seriously!? God sure does have a sense of humor I tell you!
Coley-I hope what I am 'seeing' is CM, I am still learning. Plus, with all the BDing its hard to know which is EWCM and which is semen. Gosh, I have tried the water test...but frankly, I cant get the darn thing off my finger!
Thanks again girls!!! You all can always make me feel better!!!!!

Candance - I totally agree with all the other girls! Don't get discouraged yet! I also think you should go get a BBT and start using it now...who cares if it's in the middle of your chart! They only cost like $7 at walmart and atleast you will get to see more fluctuation in your chart and it won't be so up down up down on the same temps! It's going to happen soon don't worry!

I normally would agree with you on this but I think she may be getting real close to ovulating and I would hate to see her switch thermometers and not be able to interpret her chart. KWIM? Maybe you could try this? Get your new thermometer and compare readings. If they are pretty close switch, if not use the one you have until you finish your cycle. Or another idea would be to record your temp with your bbt thermometer but take your temp with the thermometer you have now too just to compare. You can record them both for a few days (just write down your old thermometers readings for a few days on paper). This way you can get an idea if your chart is off because of switching thermometers. If they seem pretty close you can feel safe that it isn't messing up your chart this month. Either way, I definitely think you should use the BBT next cycle.

Thanks! I just texted DH and asked him if it was OK to go buy a new thermometer. Not that I need his permission, but we have a very open and honest relationship. He knows I am getting a little discouraged, so he said that's fine and for me to get whatever else I want/need. Awww I love him!! So...I think I am going to start using OPKs more frequently and use both thermometers this cycle. Then next cycle (hopefully not lol) use the BBT. Thanks again girls!!!!!!!

Please don't get discouraged yet! I think my OB said to go off the pill 3 months before you want to get pregnant to give your body time to regulate (it's easier for them to tell due dates I think that way). I went off it in January and still hadn't gotten back to my perfect 28 day cycle last month, it was always a few days longer or even shorter.
I will be keeping an eye on your chart as well and rooting you on!

UPDATE: HELLLLLLLO EWCM! Yes, I think I have officially gotten more EWCM and it was very slimy and SUPER egg whitish...I mean I could have sworn I could have cooked the sucker and have eggs. LOL that's kind of gross....Anyway, I am going to try and hold my pee for as long as I can. I am not sure my other EWCM has been accurate (except for Wednesday). This was TRUE EWCM without a doubt.
What is the shortest period I can hold it and get an accuarte OPK reading???

YAY for EWCM!
Candace...as everyone's already said...hang in there. I went off BCP in October last year, and I didn't even ovulate for at least 3 months, maybe 4. Then, everything sorta clicked into place...my cycles became regular again, the temps started jiving, and finally peak readings on FM!
It will happen, give your body time to figure it all out
