What about feeling it? Do you feel like you act/feel like your age?

I don't really look my age. Well to some people I do but I still get carded for cigs and alcohol. (I don't smoke so you know but dh does. Just had to make that clear. LOL)

I have always looked younger than I am. A LOT YOUNGER. I mean when I was 24 I seriously looked like I was 14. I remember going to the doctor's at THIRTY and handing the nurse my insurance card. My dh's name is Kelly so she asked me if that was my mom. She just assumed I was a teenager. When I told her I was 30 she totally flipped out. She said she thought I was a teenager. LOL.

I think I look more my age now than I used to but still probably younger. I FEEL like I am 36 though. I just turned 36 today. LOL. But I have been feeling 36 for a few months now.

Happy Birthday Patty!! Hope you are having a good one!

I don't feel my age at all, I'm 34 and I feel like I'm 24 hehe. When I was 30 friends would say that I don't look like I'm 30 at all. Now, I don't know, I don't think I know what 34 is supposed to look like.

I had the opposite situation as you Patty. I NEVER got carded for ANYTHING! Which is why I was always the one who got sent in to buy beer and smokes when we were teenagers. I think that also had to do with the fact that they build 'em busty in my family... so people saw The Girls and just assumed I was older. LOL!

I've often been told that I do not look 34. But that always makes me wonder "What is 34 supposed to look like?"

I will say that I certainly feel more mature. I feel that I know so much more now than I did in my 20's and that I make much better decisions now than I did then.

So overall, yes I feel some of my age... and I'm okay with that.

Happy Birthday, Patty!!!

Well I'm 33 and I don't think I look my age. It was strange because when I was 12, 13, 14 years old, people thought I was much older than I was. But then when I got older, people always thought I was younger. I have aged a good bit over the last few years. After hurricane Katrina hit I didn't have a stable place to live for several years and the stress of loosing everything plus never knowing where I'd be from month to month definitely took it's toll.

This picture is blurry, but I don't think this is the face of a 33 year old!

It wasn't fun, that's for sure. But I survived and it's made me a better person for it! It amazed me to find out which family members and friends were the ones that I could really depend on, because in the end, it wasn't who I expected. But I appreciated learning that, because now my life is a HECK of a lot nicer because I've shifted focus from those that I THOUGHT were there for me through thick and thin to those that I KNOW are there through thick and thin.

And thank you!

I have been told I look younger than my age (27). I almost always get carded. I think it depends how my hair looks too...I've been growing it out and I think it's making me look younger.

Oh goodness, LilSunshine, if I wear my hair in a ponytail I'm told I look like a kid. I did forget about that. LOL (I think it's because it works like a mini-face lift and pulls it all tighter. )

When I was younger, I was always told I looked older. I was overweight and for me, that for some reason made me look older. Now, I have lost about a total of 50-60 lbs from my heaviest (dropped from a size almost 20 to a size 10) and people tell me I look younger (I am 25). Some of my co-workers will ask me how old I am (like on my birthday), they will say 'what are you, 18?' and I'm like 'Nope, 25'. They are astonished.
I feel younger than 25 because when I see someone who is 16 or 18, I think wow, they are not that much younger than I am....and I then I remember how old I am and yea, I am THAT much older than they are! I think sometimes I take life too seriously, though (get stressed about bills and the small things in life as well), and that will make me feel much older. I know that doesnt make much sense, but it was hard to explain.

I'm 27, and I think I look mid-20's. I used to get carded before I had a baby. Like a lot of my family, I'm starting to go prematurely grey. So they don't think I'm 17 anymore. LOL I guess the baby on my hip helps to establish me as an adult as well.

I feel young in the way I love games and art and playing hide and seek and geeking out over the next Spider-man comic or new sheet music, but a lot of other times I feel so old. I was raised by a really practical woman and a teacher, and as a result I get very critical of people. I can't stand "test speak" or loud music or modern furniture.
I didn't really realize how old I really felt or how much I had done in life till someone asked me recently, "Do you know those moments when your child is doing something, and you feel like you just don't know what you're doing as a mother?"

"Uh..Well, not really." I had forgot to tell her that I had been taking care of kids for 12 years, and I helped my mom before that. I wouldn't even have to ask questions, she'd explain as I helped. I must have sounded so uppity. LOL

Well, I don't know how old people think I look, but people don't usually think that I look my age. I'm 29 and a high school teacher and the kids are constantly thinking that I'm a student when I walk in the halls, especially on Fridays when we can wear jeans. Believe me, I've heard way more than I want to hear when I'm dressed down, lol. Here I am....
