Should I continue to chart? Will it help me tell if there's a problem, like miscarriage or something, if I see my temps drop?

Or should I stop setting my alarm for 5am every morning and enjoy my sleep while I can? lol

From what I've seen, charting after bfp just makes new moms to be nervous and worrying too much, which may not be good. So, if I was you, I wouldn't chart anymore and concentrate on the little one

I think it would make me too anxious if I saw my temp going up and down...

I kept charting for about 5 days or so. Then my temp dropped.. okay like .2 degrees but that entire day I was nervous about miscarrying. So I put my thermometer away. No need for unnecessary stress! I say enjoy your sleep while you can!

I quit when I got my BFP because I did not want the added stress and I wanted my sleep.

I've heard lots of pregnant ladies on here tell newly pregnant ladies to put the thermometer away because you will see your temps fluctuate during pregnancy and all it will do is stress you out which CAN cause problems.

So, I'd put it away and enjoy the fact that you don't have to keep getting up and taking your temps like the rest of us!

Thanks ladies...I had no idea, so it's good to know. And I stress when there's nothing to stress about so I will take your advice!

Don't do it. My temp went down the day after my BFP and then I started spotting. All was fine, but of course I was freaking out.

Well... I charted for about five weeks after my bfp! I think it's because I'd found charting so empowering, I was relucant to step aaway from the thermometer!

I was 'lucky' in that my temp stayed very even and high - but I reminded myself each morning as I took my temp that I'd seen bfp charts on FF with temps just bobbling above the coverline, sometimes even dipping below. In that sense, I don't think I'd have freaked if I'd seen a dip, but then why was I reminding myself so much that it's be 'ok' if it did?

I know the general concensus is to stop charting once you get your bfp and despite my 'do as I say, not as I do' standpoint, I would say I agree with that because it's infinitely the most sensible course to avoid unneccesary worry!

I think you should do what feels right to you. If you do decide to temp try not to let your temps stress you out. I am thinking if I get my bfp I will temp for a few days to a week and then quit. But I may just not temp at all. I kind of want to because I want to compare it to my ectopic chart but I kind of don't want to because I don't want to be stressing.
