Last month I used the IC and they worked great and coincided with my thermal shift on FF. This month, I had bought some of the Answer brand to try, but have read a lot of people saying they are too sensitive for them, so since I had a ton of IC thought I would try them both at the same time and just see where things go.

Here are my stats:

Yesterday morning - IC almost postive, Answer positive
Yesterday afternoon - IC positive, Answer positive
Yesterday evening - IC almost positive, Answer positive
So, of course I recorded a positive OPK reading.

Today - IC almost positive on both tests, Answer positive on both tests, with the last one I just took being the most positive out of all the Answer tests

Are they more sensitive than other tests? I also noticed that with the Answer brand, I had a faint line everyday, like an easy to see faint line, whereas the IC would be stark white until a few days before O then I would see a faint line that would get progressively darker until I O'd.

Next month I will go back to using one kind so I don't have the confusion, but wanted to know that in a jam, I'd have brand options.

Well I know my girlfriend had the same problem this month with Answer she kept getting pos and finally took a cheap one and Answer and answer still said pos and cheap one was neg and I am sure that she had already O'ed. I would just pick one and stick with it if last month the IC were right on with your chart I would trust them more. Good Luck.

The ones I took were safeway brand and there was always a faint LH line, since LH is always in your system in smaller amounts. But when it was positive it was very obvious because it was as dark as the reference line. The day after my first positive I got another negative light one, and then the day after that it was super positive and even darker than the ref. line and that was the day I O'd. The ones that seem to be too sensitive to me are the ones that come in large quantities and have green on one side and pink on the other (not sure of the brand name). I have seen a lot of girls post many positive days in a row much too far before o for it to be accurate in my humble opinion.

I just got some Answer brand opks and i tested on two days and they were both very negative. I was testing earlier in the cycle with First response brand and they gave me lots of dark lines, but not positives. Not sure what to think of it, since I obviously haven't ovulated yet, it is very confusing. I would just stick with one brand, but i seem to trust FR the most, but they didn't have any when I was buying them
