I have been pretty much acting as though I am preggo during the whole 2ww...avoiding caffine, alcohol, seafood, etc. just incase I am. But it's harder since I don't know if I am and I don't feel like I am...

thoughts?

I'm the same as you. I cut myself down to one cup of coffee, no alcohol, etc. Granted I don't drink much anyway... but if I'm with friends, I'll pass on drinks.

Alcohol, especially since I rarely drink so it takes very little for me to be drunk. Lifting anything too heavy or any strenuous activity, caffeine (though I rarely drink caffeinated drinks anyway) and sushi. This last one is the hardest for me as it's my favorite food in the world.

I don't drink a lot of caffeine or alcohol, but last 2ww I had my wedding shower and had 3 or 4 drinks. I asked the same question because I was worried, but the consensus I got from everyone who had been pregnant was that their doctors had told them while it's not recommended, if you drank, even got totally drunk and didn't know you were pg it wouldn't damage the baby at that stage. This weekend is my stagette, and once again will be in the 2ww so will have a few

I know you'll be totally fine Tammy. I've heard the same thing. Some women party it up... never knowing they are pregnant and wind up having perfectly healthy babies.

Yay for your stagette!!! That should be tons of fun!!

I've assumed I could be pregnant and avoided everything you are supposed to, and limited caffeine etc. I think I posted before, that I don't have my favorite salad (with feta) til I get AF then I run right out and get it that day! lol

Anyone know if you are still supposed to avoid deli meat? I remember finding that out AFTER being pregnant with my girls. For instance, I had a chef salad the day I got my BFP but I heated the deli meat first like you are supposed to.

I don't drink that much just every now and again But I stay off it in the 2ww. We have my BIL's wedding on FRI and I'll be 7DPO so no drink for me.
I only drink one cup of coffee a day so I don't think that'll hurt.

Tammy can't wait to hear about your stagette. (I'm guessing it's a hen night like we have in Ireland)
UPload your pic's on FB straight away.
I can't believe your wedding is so close. I'm still keeping my crossable crossed that AF will stay well away from your big day.

Yep... just like a hen night.

I think it's so cool that we all have so many of the same traditions, just with different names!

Lori, I knew to avoid deli meats during pregnancy so I generally avoid them during the 2ww, but if you heat them they are ok to eat? I've never heard anything about that before so now I'm curious!
