I was just curious what you all will do? 95% of people I know, find out the sex. We did NOT with our 2 girls and I could have sworn they were boys. In fact when #1 popped out, Dh said "It's a girl" and I replied "Are you serious!"
We are leaning towards NOT finding out with #3 either. It would make things easier to know, but DH thinks it would take the fun out of the delivery, you know, cuz delivery is so much "fun" I'm headed for a planned c-section anyway, so I will be pretty out of it!!

We are definitely going to find out what we are having. DH and I both agree that if we are lucky enough to have more than one child that we'll be surprised later on, but with our first we want to know.
I'm also hoping that I'll be like my mom and just know, without a doubt, as to what I'm having. In order of pregnancies....with me she never bought a single boy item, with my brother she never bought a single girl item and with my sister she never bought anything. (My sister passed at 8 days old due to septic infection.) So we'll see! I'm just hoping for a girl first.

that's funny Candace, b/c I am the most impatient person you will meet too, and I am surprised we've been able to not find out til the birth!
Michelle, that's neat about your mom being able to just "know" and so very sad about your sister

Thanks Lori, and I do find it fascinating that she just "knew". It was funny because when she was pregnant for me my dad wanted to buy boy stuff and she finally broke down and let him buy one outfit. But only one because she knew! LOL

Not for #1...as hard as it's going to be when it happens, we have agreed that we only have one first little one and we want to be surprised! If we are blessed with more, that excitement may wear off in favor of practicality and planning, so we may find out with #2 and beyond!

DH and I definitely want to know, so that we can start buying the appropriate baby items, and have a boy or girl theme for the baby shower. I wouldn't want people bringing a bunch of baby boy clothes to the shower, and then end up having a little girl! (Btw, I'm hoping for a girl! )

Well we didn't find out with our first two and did with our second two. I think both experiences were fun in different ways. Since you have had two surprises maybe it would be fun for you to have one that wasn't a surprise this time?
If we get pregnant again though I do not plan to find out. I have two boys and two girls so I have no preferences for gender and I just want to have the cool moment of surprise at the end. It is a very neat experience.

yah, Krissy, it did kinda stink that all our baby outfits were yellow and green!!! But then people bring the right color to the hospital once baby is born so...
Oh, and we had a pretty pink room when we moved in for the baby but thought we better paint it a neutral color in case it was a boy, then we had 2 girls!!! So I told DH if he wants his BOY, then he should paint the room pink again!
(I am hoping for a girl b/c that's what I know, Dh would probably like a boy, but in reality we really don't care!)

That is what we did too. And the thing is they don't stay in those newborn clothes long anyway so you are ready to get new pink or blue clothes soon enough.

We didn't find out with our 2 kids and we loved the surprise. Would definitely keep it a surprise again if we conceive again.

Well, this is where DH and I disagree. I would love a surprise and he wants to know. I gave in with DD and I probably will when I get pg again. Maybe if we have 3 kids he will let me have our surprise, lol. He says that just he could find out and that he would keep it a surprise from me, but I don't like that idea!!!

I have friends who are on their 3rd and the DH has found out each time and kept it a secret from everyone including his wife! I could never do that. It would be torture!
Yes, Candace, big babies. And you'd never think that today...they are very petite, especially my younger one!

Well we are both hoping for a boy but will be happy with a girl to. Dh has said this will be my last so I am torn. I want to know only because it will be easier to get ready for baby. What I am thinking about doing this time is me finding out and not telling anyone in the family just me and DH knowing but that may not work out either..lol
