I use Fertility Friend as my main software to chart BBT temps and trust it, but I have a couple others I have tried out so I can see some of the different features available. Right now one of the sites hasn't detected my O yet and one is the same as FF. So, I did an experiment. I entered the same pretend temps on all 3 sites... I entered 98.3 then 98.2 for the next 2 days and here's what happened:

FF - left my O date the same - CD 20
Fertility Cycle - gave me an O date of CD 21
MedHelp - gave me an O date of CD 22

I find it interesting that the same data gives me 3 dif O dates depending on the site.
I would like to believe FF on this one because everything after CD 20 is above my coverline. Of interest, if my temp dropped BELOW the coverline tomorrow, FF takes away my O date, but the other 2 still leave it.

I suppose the right answer is to pick one and stick with it... BUT this is where my concern is... using 3 different softwares with the same info, I get 3 different O dates depending what my temp does tomorrow. Obviously when you're TTC 3 days can make a world of difference when it comes to timing things right!

Any thoughts, ideas, experience with this? Frustrating that you may be using one software thinking you are timing things perfectly when in fact maybe you're off by a couple days and that's why there is no BFP

I have no idea if my last post was posted or not, as right in the middle of my typing, my dog Max jumped on the couch, and subsequently onto my laptop! So, if this gets partially posted 2x, sorry!

Last month, i had the exact same problem. My fertility monitor was not showing a peak, but 17 days of high readings. My temps pretty clearly indicated I O'ed, but I had 4 different sites telling me 3 different dates (FF, Ovusoft, Babymed, Fertility Circle btw).

I got a ton of feedback on this board, and most said to stick with FF. I was inclined to believe FF, but wasnt sure, as i could see where all 3 dates could have been possible. In the end, AF showed up, and i deduced that FF was 100% right on the money!

So, while I cant say for certain, i am now inclined to go with FF when there is any difference between charts.

Good luck and KUP!

I think the others are using your OPK to pick your o date. I think FF has it right. I imagine if you took the positive opk off your charts the others would pick CD20 as well.
