I know some are still at lunch, but I am still hungry after lunch...so I have food on my mind! Soup just never fills me up long enough, especially after 3 potty breaks!

Our dinner is up in the air, as we are going to visit my dad after his surgery. I know we will probably grill salmon, but I am not sure what else.

Hmmm.... DF is usually the one who cooks, and he's at work, so I haven't been able to ask what's for dinner. But maybe I'll try to cook for once... If I do, though, dinner's going to be Mac n Cheese or something!! lol!

We've got my 8 year old niece visiting with us, so I'm planning on doing hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill tonight.

I will be making something like beef and broccoli but with asian vegetable blend. We'll have that over pasta and I will bake some falafels.

Ugh! I hate these dinner threads...I seem like such a bum

DH usually cooks, and since he's traveling for work all week, I'll probably do something like hotdogs or hamburger...last night was a roasted chicken and pepper jack cheese melt on the griddle! Comfort food...YUM!

I have no idea what's for dinner tonight, so I'll tell you about tomorrow night's dinner!

Pork & butternut squash roasted together with a cherry balsamic glaze for the pork. (I have bing cherries that didn't get eaten so I've got to do something with them before they go bad.) I'm not sure what else to fix with it, I feel I want something besides the pork and squash, just not sure what.

No idea!! I'm leaving that up to DH to decide.
I do need to figure out what we're having tomorrow since we are taking food over to a friend's house. I hate trying to come up with ideas.

Hmm, Candace, sweet potatoes might just work. I have two sitting on the counter and can just throw them in to roast as well.

Brooke, what do you need to bring for tomorrow? A main dish, the whole dinner? Let us know and we can offer suggestions!

We need to bring the whole dinner. It needs to be something fairly easy to transport and something that isn't too complicated. We are taking dinner to them because they are having a birthday party for their son later that night. I figured it would help her out so that she won't have to worry about dinner and dishes before the party. Plus, it will give them time to get their house ready. Any suggestions would be awesome!!!

You could buy some Italian sausage, cut it into chunks, cook it in a pan then add some sauce. Toss it all together with some Penne pasta & Parmesean cheese, throw together a salad and add a loaf of garlic bread.

Quick, easy and filling!!

I too was going to suggest a pasta with salad and bread. There's always a crockpot meal (pot roast or something) that would be good. Also too you could just buy one of those heat & eat hams, bake a pan of mac & cheese and a veggie. That would be easy enough to prepare and transport. I guess it all depends too on how many you are feeding and what kind of food they like.

Ohh! You are in Indiana...one of my favorite dishes is beef and noodles! Whenever we'd go visit family in northern IN we always made sure to go to Das Dutchman Essenhaus for family style dining. Beef and noodles was a must!

Hehe, DF didn't feel like cooking, like I thought would happen, so we had baked french fries and pot pies!

Thanks for all of the suggestions ladies!! I was thinking pasta and salad, but I'm too lazy to go to the store to get what I need, lol. I think that we may do mini meatloaves with scalloped potatoes, green beans, and crescent rolls. We'll see.
Oh and Michelle, are you kidding me, Essenhaus is like 10 minutes from my house!! How crazy!!! I've always been a huge fan of their pies

Brooke, I'm so jealous!! I want to go shopping at The Log Cabin SO badly! Every year I'd go buy a new Christmas ornament from there because they have such unique items. I honestly miss going to IN. We'd go every few months and it was just SO awesome! I wouldn't want to live there during the winter though. LOL
