My first cycle (last cycle) TTC was 30 days. I O'd on CD20 and my LP was 10 days. Do you think my O might work itself a little closer to the middle of my cycle to even out my FP & LP a little? Or do you think it will probably be about the same as last time? I realize it might take some time getting regular after stopping BCP. I just want to time our BD a little better this time & try to get BD in all of my fertile days. I will probably start using OPK's aroung CD12 again just incase and BD everyother day until we get a positive OPK and then everyday until O is confirmed.

I think the fact that you are coming off BCP can be making things a bit wonky.

It sounds like a good plan going forward. The OPK's should help to take some of the guesswork out of it for you. Be sure to keep an eye on your CM too, as that will help to let you know when you are fertile.

Yes I plan on checking CM everyday this cycle. Only thing is - I don't seem to get much. I only had 1 day last cycle where I actually had some external CM. All the other days I was dry as the day is long or sticky. I never had EW or watery. Again though - maybe it's just from getting off BCP...but I will be sure to check internally this whole cycle for clues!

Yea, check internally for CM as well. Sometimes it doesnt all come out on its own. I think you have a good plan, as well. I think IF there is a 3rd cycle, your body will start to regulate itself more. GL and I am cheering for cycle #2 to be IT for you!!!!

I think that this could be from going off BCP. One mechanism BCPs use to prevent pregnancy is messing with your CM. I think you may start noticing more fertile cm this cycle. I don't get that much CM myself and I used to when I was younger. I use Preseed to help with this and I also started taking Robitussin. It seems to have helped a little. I notice more watery CM around my o date and get the ewcm several days before I O and not always a lot of it.

I think your plan sounds smart. The opks will help. What were your cycles like before you started taking the pill?

When I was on HBC, it dried up my CM quite a good bit, I've noticed that the longer I'm off of it (stopped taking it mid-May) the more I get each month. But for some reason, my cycles are getting longer each month since stopping HBC. I'll be curious to see how yours go over the next couple of months/cycles.

Patty: I honestly don't know what my cycles were before BCP! I had been on BCP for like 8 years and before that I was around 18 and didn't keep track yet. I'm actually surprised I O'd last cycle after being on BCP for so long!

DeepSouthGirl: Thanks! I hope my CM starts to figure it's job out this cycle!
