So, I tried taking Robitussin, and since I spilled most of it, I was wondering if you thought that any cough medicine would help with CM or is it just Robitussin. I was looking through our medicine cabinet and found some Delsym (not that old). I was looking for Mucinex but we only had Mucinex DM. Do you think the Delsym would work just as well?

You can use any cough medicine that has Guiafenesin as the main ingredient. Other cough medicines have been shown to decrease CM, which is the opposite of what you want.

Yep, you want to make sure it has guiafenesin as the main ingredient but also make sure you stay away from ones that have a decongestant in them. It needs to JUST have guiafenesin. I bought the store brand.
