I started bleeding yesterday morning after a full degree temp drop, unsually at 23 days. Im coming off the mirena, and have had a 14day cycle before (3 cycles ago?) Anywho, I passed a huge blood clot yesterday and have been lightly spotting since then. This morning my overnight tampon had dried blood on it, nothing new - so do I just go back to my last cycle and contiue on at CD24 or do I chart this as CD2? Im still waiting to ovulate, so thats whats thrown me off, thinking that the blood clot threw my days off yesterday - LOL so confused! Thanks!!

Is this your first cycle charting? When did you come off the Mirena? I'm trying to understand if you've had "normal" cycles off the Mirena previously or if this is your first one.

This is my 5th cycle off, Im not regulated out just yet, but my "normal" cycle was 32 days this last cycle - and yes Ive been charting since I got the mirena out the end of march.

Hmm... that's a toughie. I haven't been on bc for more than 5 years, so unfortunately I don't have any personal experience to pull from or examples to give you.

That being said... for some reason I'm inclined to think that you are still in the same cycle. I did some searching around for you and I have come across a number of accounts of bleeding during ovulation or mid cycle bleeding. It seems to be a fairly common occurrence.

Since you are not experiencing your normal menstrual flow like you would during AF, I would say consider yourself still in the same cycle unless you see something that makes you believe otherwise.

I tend to agree with Nikki. If it is a red flow though I would just mark it as AF. It could be a light period. I guess it depends on whether or not you would consider it more closely resembling spotting or a light period. The clot doesn't sound like o spotting to me but it could be some type of midcycle spotting.
