Hi ladies, this is my first month taking my bbt so I just wanted to confirm the way I'm interpreting my temps. For the past 18 days my temps have consistently ranged from 97.5-97.8 F. Today (CD 19) my temp was 96.8 F. This is a temp dip right? Would that mean that I can expect to ovulate today, or would I expect to ovulate tomorrow? Is it possible to ovulate the day after temp dip, or does it mean it will be today? Thank you everyone!

Hey!! I will be more than happy to look at your chart, sorry I am more of a visual person. Do you have a link to your chart? I think you need 8 or more posts to post a link?

You need 10... but she's got plenty of posts.

If you've got a Fertility Friend account:

Click on Sharing
Click on Home Page Setup
Copy the URL
Paste it in the body of your message.

Okay... without seeing your chart, I would say, yes. It sounds like you are indeed experiencing a temp dip. I would not be surprised if you do O today. What is your cervical fluid like today?

Generally temp dips are followed by a spike in temps. So if you are TTC, I would grab DH and get yourselves busy just to be on the safe side... because once you see that temp spike, it'll be too late.

Also, I don't know if you've been doing this or not... but I HIGHLY recommend you check your cervical fluid and mark on your chart whether it's dry, sticky, creamy, watery or egg white. That way you have that to tie together with your temps so you can really be sure of what's happening.

Hope to see more of you here on the board!!

Thank you both! I actually don't have a chart and I haven't started to use fertility friend, but I think I will now. I just chart my temps myself on regular paper. And I do keep track of cervical mucus and position. My cervix has been SHOW for the past 2 days and I've had ewcm for for 3 days.

Thanks for your help! It's so nice to be reassured! I will keep you all posted. This is my 3rd month TTC but it's the first cycle that I've been taking my temps and monitoring my cervix.

Everyone already gave you some great input. I am a little late getting over here thanks to the lovely paper I had to write today. (Okay I won't hijack your thread with whining.)

I usually see a temp dip like this two or three days before I ovulate but everyone is different.

We would love it if you stuck around here with us. If you can set up an online chart it would help us to be able to look at your chart more and give you thoughts, feedback, pep talks, or yell at your chart if you want us to. LOL.

You can set one up for free at a lot of different places. Most of us use Fertility Friend. It is easy.

I can't wait to see what your temps do over the next couple days!
