Ok ladies, I'm putting it up to vote for our dinner! I want to make either Shepard's pie or chicken pot pie, but neither DH or I can decide which we would prefer. So it's up to you to help us.
Btw, breakfast was bagel with cream cheese and cantaloupe. Lunch will be leftover pork loin. Snack will be a 100 calorie kettle corn....good choice, Candace!

Breakfast: Iced mocha coffee & egg/sausage croissant sandwich. (for some reason, iced coffee's really fill me up. if I have one in the morning, I'm not even the least big hungry by lunch time).
Snack: maybe a granola bar.

I made shepherd's pie last week.
When BF and I started dating, I was asking him what foods he liked and shepherd's pie was one of them so I decided to make it for him. Found a recipe on line and made it completely from scratch with sauted veggies & everything. I thought it was absolutely delicious. His comment: "It's good, but it's not like my mom makes it".
So I finally asked her how she makes it. All she uses is vegetarian vegetable soup, ground beef, instant potatoes, and sliced cheese. Here I was going all gourmet and she uses 4 indredients.

Ha ha ha! That just figures, doesn't it??? The only thing I won't be making from scratch are the potatoes...I'll be using roasted garlic instant potatoes because that's what I have without making a run to the store. LOL I had to laugh though because when my step-sister and her husband got married she wanted to make him red beans because she knew that was his favorite dish. So finally after about a year of them being married and her making red beans every which way she could (and him still not liking them) she finally broke down and did the dreaded act...she asked his mom how she made her beans that he liked them so much and didn't like any others. Turns out that his mom had always used Blue Runner CANNED red beans! All she did was dump them in a pot, add some sausage and heat them up. LOL
Candace, munching kettle corn right now.

Well, the shepard's pie will be happening today. After a very long and stressful day yesterday, DH decided that picking up takeout was in order, rather than cooking and dishes.
Btw, if anyone has a Jet's Pizza in their area, I highly recommend it!
