I am ready to tie her up by her little toes and hang her out my window. She has been terrible all day long. All day long I have been listening to tantrums and whining. I was already really getting edgy today because of how terrible she has been. (Yeh, Sandy you'd love babysitting her!)
And now I see her with my thermometer and I was like give that back to me. It is broken now! I am so upset. I wanted to see my chart tomorrow.
My kids make charting so difficult!
Edited out the ready to kill her. I don't want to sound like a crazy lady. I have locked her out of my office until I cool off.
Edited to add again: Yeh like tieing her up by her toes and hanging her out a window is so much better than killing her....

Oh God yes. Even driving 20 minutes wouldn't get me one. I would have to drive like an hour into Grand Rapids to get another one. I used to keep a back up thermometer around at all times because of my rotten kids but I haven't had a thermometer incident in a while so I thought we had gotten past this.
I am going to have to just wait until I can get one ordered online with the rest of my crap. Next time I am ordering two thermometers.

Oh man! Do you have a regular thermometer that you use for the kids and stuff? Granted it wouldn't be as accurate... but at least then you could get a ballpark of where you are until your new BBTs come...?

No because I usually just use my bbt on the kids if I have to. I just take it under their arms. But, they rarely have fevers. I suck.
It's okay. I am starting to have some of my regular PMS symptoms anyway so I am just thinking I was going to be out anyway. There isn't much I can do so there is no point in me staying upset.

Dh is such a sweetie! He is going to go to the convenient store and see if he can find me a regular thermometer. I doubt he will but he just made me feel all emotional that he cared enough to try. He can be a shmuck sometimes but some days he can be a total sweetie. Now I am getting all weepy. Maybe that is a preggo sign. Gotta go see if that is on the checkboxes on FF.

aww, its nice when significant others try and do the right thing isnt it? Its doesnt happen often in my opinion, unless there is something in it for them. LOL
Sorry about your thermometer.

hi patty,
im sorry that lyndsey Lou lou broke your thermometer.
maybe thats a sign that you aren't going to have to use it lets say for the next 9 months maybe?
just a thought though, i know kids can be such buggers sometimes.
i hope your hubby finds a thermometer at the store for ya.
always have a backup just in case. you never know when any of the kids are going to go nuts and brake your bbt.
i wish you the best of luck and hopefully you will be able to chart tomorrow.

GOOD NEWS!!! Okay dh couldn't find one at the store BUT, the broken thing still seems to work. She pulled the little metal sensor off the top of it but I pushed it back in and just took my temp and it seems to be working. The metal sensor is dangling by the little wire in there so I can't keep using it indefinitely but it should hopefully get me through until I can get a new one!! YAH!!!

ROFL!! Oh Patty, your original entry is hysterical!! I've babysat enough kids to know what you mean about dangling them from their toes out of the window. Some days it seems like that's the only choice you have left.
I am glad to know that your thermometer is working for now because I am super anxious to see tomorrows temp! Now that I'm no longer in the 2ww, I have to live vicariously through others. LOL
