Okay, I did it. I made an appt with the fertility doc (xposted)

Our last appt was scheduled for Mar 2 which I cancelled. It has been 5 and half months of more trying since that appt. I think we have tried long enough on our own. I hadn't made the appt because I am having personal issues with getting help with number 5. I feel guilty about getting help even though I know that we will probably need it if we want another baby. Plus, it just feels weird being infertile after having so many kids. I think I just kept thinking if we tried a little harder it would happen.

So I finally just decided I have had enough of this. Sucked it up and gave them a call. I have an appt for September 14. We are going on vacation on September 17-30 so hopefully by the time I get back we will have a plan and maybe get this baby making show on the road.

I will keep you posted.

Oh Patty I am so sorry that you are going threw this. I hope that you can get some answers. It took me 15 months of TTC with Paige and 1 M/C to finally get a sticky bean I went to the DR and told him I was about to give up and he gave me Clomid and I got my BFP the 1st month so I am worried that I may have problems this time too. I hope that you get your BFP soon.

Thanks Sandy. I know that having one tube is cutting down my chances and my doc already told me my other tube was clubbed. This was my second ectopic and I am having some other issues I want to talk to him about like my forever long periods. I just want to talk to him and see what he says.

I'm so sorry you are going thru this, sometimes going to the dr. and having a plan of action helps to feel better. I have been 3 times since my miscarriage and it helps me to feel better about things. I hope it does the trick for you and you get your BFP next cycle!!!

Good luck Patty!! I'm with you on it feeling weird having a hard time getting/staying pregnant after you already have kids. My pregnancy with my DD was so easy and totally normal, I can't figure out why I am having a hard time now. My appointment in on the 3rd. Hopefully both of us will get a plan next month!

Patty, dont feel guilty for desiring to have more children!! Kids are such blessings, no matter how many you have!!!

I do know it took a lot for you to make the appt, but Iam glad you did. This will help you and your family grow in the near future. I think you planned the appt perfectly, so you can basically get away and clear your head, then head back and get to the BDing!!

I agree about not feeling guilty, nobody has a right to tell you how many children you should have. It's your decision. I love big families! KMFC for a good appt!
