a few questions (from a new charter :) )

ok, so you my remember that a few weeks ago i came over to this board bc i had a pg scare, and since im not going to be ttc for a few years, i decided to start tracking my fertility, that way when the time comes, ill be better prepared...so like i said, signed up at fertility friend..havent bought a bbt yet (they didnt have one at the target near my house and havent really been to a diff drug store type place)...anyways, when i signed up at ff, they gave me the option of having emails sent to me with "lessons"...ive been reading them, although havent gotten through them all...anyways, just a questions about cm (thats what lesson im at)...is this the discharge that is in underwear occasionally or is there a diff way to check it, also, when do you check for this...like ive noticed sometimes ill go to the br and have a little creamy cm when i wipe, but then other times ill use it that day and have nothing...sorry if tmi, or a silly question...this fertility stuff can get a little confusing :/

I don't usually do an internal check of CM... mine usually comes when I wipe after using the bathroom. Yes, that is what you see in your underwear, but it's hard to determine what kind it is once its already there. Some women can do a manual check by using your fingers and "swabbing" the cervix, I can't get a good sample that way.. so I just wait for it to come out... Hope this helps... Good Luck!

Glad you are still hanging around! You may want to go over to the Fertility Charting School subforum and read through the posts on CM. I normally check CM by checking what is in my underwear or what I see when I wipe. You can check internally but I find it more accurate to just go by external observations. You want to record the most fertile CM you see during each day. So if you notice creamy cm in the morning but then later you see egg white looking CM chart the eggwhite. If you are dry most of the day but then notice a patch of creamy CM chart the creamy. You will get the hang of it.
