I have always been under the impression that implantation happens in like... a day. It's looking like I was quite wrong about that... which now that I think about it, makes perfect sense. If it takes days for the egg to get from the tube to the uterus, it would stand to reason that it would take longer than one day for it to burrow in and get all set up. Apparently it can take up to a week to implant successfully, and I'm guessing you can have IB that entire week.

I'm also wondering because I had a slight temp drop today and I'm trying to determine when you would see an ID. Would it be the day it starts implanting? Can you have ups and downs temp-wise during that week that implantation is taking place?

I figured maybe some of the ladies on here who have had babies before might be able to shed a bit of light on the subject.

Hmmm, that's interesting! I always thought that it would happen in a day too, like instant. Not sure what to think, hopefully someone else will have some better answer

I have never had implantation spotting myself, but it makes sense to me that it could last more than a day.

I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take, but for me, I had IB for 4 days. I actually had thought that I was starting my period. The first day it was a little heavier and I used a tampon because I thought that I was starting (oops, such a no-no if you're pg). It ended up that it was pretty much just spotting, but it did last for 4 days.

I did have spotting just before and including on my temp drop. Since you have a longer LP than I did, I would say that it is still a possibility that it was IB. Good luck and can't wait to see tomorrow's temps

Here is my pregnancy chart if you'd like to look at it:

Good point about it taking several days. Today is day three of spotting for me, maybe it is not a bad sign! Not a trace of red blood yet.... I hope you get a nice ID!!!

I have had implantation spotting before but not since I have been charting. I had it a few days before my AF was to arrive and it was just light spotting when I wiped maybe a couple of times during the day. I have lots of implantation cramping usually when I am pregnant though. I am really hoping this is what is going on with you. The timing on it seems right for implantation.

Right on. Thanks ladies!!

And thanks for posting your chart Brooke.. I see that the temp drop was at the end of the spotting... so that's really helpful to see! Do you recall how many days after your spotting stopped that you got your BFP?
