Does it mean anything when one day you get a dark line (not positive, but very noticable) and then the next day its MUCH lighter? I think I took them at different times of the day, so I am not sure if that affects my results? Just curious. I took an OPK on Saturday and it was noticeably there, but not positive. Then I took one yesterday and it was pretty light...almost not even there.

I don't know the answer to that, but was wondering about your lines and if they were still there! Mine were there yesterday, not this morning, but will see in the afternoon. Weird that we seem to be having the same month!

I threw them away . Last month I did not, but this month I decided to go ahead and throw them out since they were not positive. I didnt check the one I got the darker of the two until like an hour or so after I tested...got distracted with detailing cars. Then either later that evening or Sunday morning, it looks like I either splashed some water on it or something else, but the line smeared. that's when I decided to throw them out.
I hope we both get BFPs!!!!!!!!

It sounds to me like you may have missed your LH surge. It might have peaked on Friday or very early in the morning on Saturday before you woke up. If you normally see just white in the test line area except when you O I would keep testing but BD because you may be ovulating! For me, I always see a line like that (but def. negative) the day before and the day AFTER the real +ve line.

Your temp may jump up tomorrow, they say it can be anywhere from 24-78 hrs after the LH surge that you O.

The other possibility is that your body was gearing up to O but for some reason it didn't go through with it. I have read that this is possible although I haven't seen it in myself. If that's the case it will probably have another try soon!

I don't really think she has missed her surge. She could have but I just don't think she has. My test do this too sometimes. If I test in the morning mine are always darker than in the afternoon. I have seen other gals that generally get darker results in the afternoon. I tend to think it was just because of testing at a different time. Just keep testing. I think you will get a positive opk soon.

I agree with Patty, I had a whole post about testing at different times and how everyone seems to have certain times they can't test or the results don't show properly and I hit a button on my computer that deleted the whole post Then I pouted and didn't re-post it!

I think I may start my marathon tonight...hmmmmm...my sex drive is starting to really increase this cycle, so that's a good thing (for DH!). My sex drive was nada on bcp and kind of last month, this month I was feeling frisky last night.....DH thoroughly enjoyed that!

Gosh, I think my DH must have the sex drive of a child in puberty. Granted, he is only 24.....but he has ALWAYS had a HIGH sex drive.

Last cycle I had 1 OPK with FMU that was very dark...almost as dark as the ref line but not quite. I counted it as positive just in case. Then the next day it was very light. And then the day after that it was VERY dark...darker than the ref line and that was the day I O'd. This cycle I had 1 OPK 2 days before O that was very dark but not quite as dark as the ref. line. The next day it was very light and that's the day I O'd so...you never know! If it is dark enough to make you wonder then I would go ahead and assume you are fertile because you could miss your chance!

Unfortunately, it wasn't dark enough to make me think it was positive. I will see what today and tomorrow brings....it would be nice to O this early!!!

Ya! I think you will definitely O sooner this month than last. I O'd 4 days earlier this cycle which I think will hopefully extend my LP.

And IF IF IF (I am stressing the IF) you don't extend your LP, try B6. I bought some for this cycle just in case. I figured it couldn't hurt, even if it does straighten itself out on its own. I just wasnt sure what my body would start doing now that its trying to regulate itself....ugh, I hate bcp!!!

I had one OPK that had color on it, but both before and after that they have been stark white! I was scared I missed it as well, but I was so early in my cycle (I believe CD 7 or 8). I think a good piece of advice would be to test twice a day. I have heard plenty of women who get negative's 24 hours apart from eachother but the test inbetween (12 hours apart) was positive. So if they weren't testing twice a day they would have missed it.

I just looked and it looks like we are on the same CD right now... Good luck!

Oh we are, both with temp drops today!!!!
I would test twice a day, but I dont want to spend anymore money than needed. I am OK with testing everyday for a little while.
