Last night was the first night since FIL left. We planned on "enjoying ourselves". We get started, and it was very painful! Every thrust was met with a sharp pain in my right side. I don't really understand it, the pain was not even close to "down there". We tried a couple different positions before giving up because of the pain. I'm hoping it's something as benign as gas pain, but hard to tell. Anyone experienced this?

Weird. I have pain sometimes but it's right "down there" lol, and I believe it's caused by my endometriosis. Not sure what it means if it's in your side! Hmm...

Could possibly be a cyst on your ovary, I've had that before.

I am not sure what this could be. I have had painful sex a few times but it is usually because I feel him hitting my cervix the wrong way. I haven't ever felt pain in my side like you are describing.
