hi

im wondering is it even worth charting this cycle seeing that im going to miss about 4 temps. i have never had missing temps on my chart ever so thats why im asking this.

from sept 4 - 7th family is going to be here and im going to miss those morning temps.

theres going to be 12 of us including hubby and i in the house.

is it worth even temping this cycle.

they will be the temps right after AF gets done.

she should be done on the 5th of september.

will my chart still be accurate if i have those missing temps?

will it still show ovulation?

by the way: i just want to temp this cycle and be more relaxed. i don't want to do cp or cm this cycle will FF still detect ovulation if i don't check cm and cp?

thanks

Okay...

Considering that the temps in question will be right after AF leaves... I'm sure it will not throw things off too terribly if you have to miss those temps.

As for FF & not checking CM & CP... it will still detect ovulation based solely on temps, however if your ovulation seems delayed or you have questions about what is going on with your chart, those questions will be much more difficult to answer without that supporting information.

For example, if your temps go up and down some and you are wondering if ythat means anything, you won't have CM to look at to see if your body tried to ovulate or if you're just experiencing fluctuating temps. That's the trade off.

So in answer to your question... yes it will still detect ovulation with temps only... but if there is any kind of grey area... you will have a more difficult time figuring it all out.

Hope that helps.

I agree, I have missed more than 4 temps along the way and FF still detected ovulation. I think if you have three temps in a row that are a certain amount higher than the average before that it will call it ovulation. I'm sure it's more complicated than that but that's basically what I've noticed. I have also charted only temps some months (no cp/cm) and it still detected the O. If the temp shift is clear it will give you at least the dashed line.

So I say go for it and it's still worth charting! Good luck!
