Hi ladies... This morning I took my temp with my Walgreens bbt therm and it was 98 something. I noticed that it was way faster than normal, and when I saw that it was 98, I knew that couldn't be right b/c I am never in the 98s before O. So I took my temp two more times, and it was in the high 96s both times. I recorded the middle temp, but what is going on? Has your therm ever acted up? Where can I get/order a great therm?

That's also happened to me, but I couldn't figure out what was up. Usually it takes 5-8 minutes to get my BBT, but I've had a few times where I get a temp reading very quickly that is way off of what I expect it to be. Sorry I can't tell you why that happens, but it has happened to me, too. I think mine is a Walgreens brand, too.

I would probably get a new thermometer. I am thinking of getting a new one myself because I don't really like the one I just got. Oh, and I got mine from Walgreens too. I really don't like it. I like the one I get from early-pregnancy-tests.com the best.

Mine is from Rite Aid - Mine has read my temp way faster than normal too before but when it did that I took it again right after and it was very close to the 1st temp. Good Luck- Hope you find one you like.

Hmm... I just got a new one from Walgreens and it temps waaay faster than my old Rite Aid one. I haven't had any trouble with it. I dunno... this is only my second bbt, so I've only got these two to go on.

Hope it gets sorted out for you.

I've got the one from Walmart (it's pink and white) and it takes your temp in 60 seconds. Bev, you might want to get a new thermometer if yours is taking that long. I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or if it's broken, but that's just way too long to wait. LOL

I was thinking that sounded like an awfully long time too...

My old Rite Aid one took about 2 minutes or so... this Walgreen's one is like lightning fast!

I have had the exact same thing. Every now and then it seems to go off really fast and the temperature is way off what I was expecting. I take it again right away and use the 2nd reading if it seems a normal amount of time.

Hahaha - thanks ladies I thought mine was normal.

It's always a drag temping in the morning because it takes so long! I guess I can look forward to a few minutes more sleep if I get a new one.
