I'm not sure if it's because I've already had a baby, but I sometimes have a hard time knowing if my cervix is firm or soft because many times it feels like both. The part of the cervix near the front of my vagina is always softer than the back. How do you chart that? Do you chart the firm part or the soft part? Compromise and always say Medium?

I tend to chart what the tip feels like... I think the back part of mine always seems firm... it's the tip that changes.

Mine doesn't always feel firm in the back but I tend to go with the tip too because I think you can feel the changes more there. I think you just have to take your best guess. The more you do this the more you can tell the difference. My cervix usually feels medium. When it is soft I can tell. It is mushy feeling.
