We were using condoms for birth control before we started ttc. That is pretty much what we have always used for preventing. I hate condoms though so when we get done ttc this baby I may use charting to avoid.

BC. Although this last round of it was killer. I was on it for approx. 2 1/2 years and it screwed me up so badly. I had more pg symptoms on the pill than I've ever had before. Not cool. I think after we have our first we'll do the NTNP route.

We've been NTNP for more than 5 years... so we haven't used anything.

I was on BCP from age 16ish through till last October...only a few months off here and there. I never had a problem with them but never really knew any different either.

We've always used condoms. I'm not a fan of BCP because of the side effects (I have a lot of heart disease in my family), so I've never been on them. I don't know if we will totally do away with condoms when we are not TTC, but now that I've been charting, I'm open to not even using them (at least for most of the cycle) since I've learned so much about when I am fertile. Another reason I love charting!

We've used condoms in the beginning but they are horrible and I was in pain a lot so we switched to pulling out. I used BCP for my PCOS when I was 20ish and they gave me blood clots in my leg, so no more of those for me.
