Ok girls, I need help here. I've read all of the information and it's not fitting, so I'm coming to you for help. I am HOPING and HOPING and HOPING that I O soon because I do not want to go through an almost two month cycle like I did last time. So I have been checking CM and sometimes my cervix as well, but today threw me for a loop. I checked my CM today and found super stretchy "stuff". (I could stretch it a lot and it didn't break.) But it wasn't as clear as you'd expect EWCM to be nor was it creamy white like it would be if it were semen. So I decided to do the water test. I grabbed a plastic cup, put some water in it and then put the "stuff" in. So it's supposed to go that if it's EWCM it will ball up and sink, if it's semen it float and dissolve. This stuff balled up and floated, never dissolving! WHAT?! Could it have been a mixture of the two? What would you judge it to be??

Here are a few other ways to tell:

Seminal fluid will absorb into toilet tissue rather quickly. CM has more "body" to it. It will sit on top of the tissue for awhile.

Observe your sensation as you walk around. Seminal fluid will produce a wet feeling, but not a slippery one (except immediately after BDing). A feeling of lubrication or slipperiness indicates CM.

I have had similar stuff as well. I have considered mine EWCM, because it does stretch...a lot. Usually, I notice semen to be more wet and slippery (IMO) and not stretchy. It could be a mix of both, but since it stretches SO much I think its EWCM. I have tried to pay attnetion to the tp, but I get caught up in observing whats on my finger and forget to do the tp thing. When it doubt, mark it as fertile CM.

Well I noticed it first on the tp when I went to the bathroom and it definitely did not absorb into it. That's when I decided to check and do the water test, because for the first time, I just wasn't sure.

So that means that today I've had both watery and EWCM and to keep with what I said earlier, I'm going to go with reverse psychology and tell my temperature to stay down. LOL

Oh another thing I do is if we BD at night...the next day, I wait half way through the day and then start to see if I still have the really slppery and wet stuff (semen)...if its lessened, then I really pay attention to my CM. Hope that helps!

To me that sounds like ewcm. I have never seen stretchy semen. When I notice it it is liquidy and not something I could put between my fingers.
