Using fertility friend or the taking charge of your fertility program which would you choose? Using the same info in both ff is giving me dotted crosshairs for cd 16 and taking charge of your fertility is giving me an o date of sept 11 which is cd 18. So I'm confused. Anyway I picked up the book this morning and so far I'm loving it.

I have never read the book so I don't know what they're saying in it. But I do like FF

I tried both when I first started charting and I have to say that I am more comfortable with FF. I just seem to find it easier to use... but there are ladies on here that use all different kinds of charting software. It's really up to your personal preference.

I've used both and Ovusoft was WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY wrong. FF is much more accurate and much more user friendly as they provide more information, allow you to notate more symptoms, etc. I would NOT recommend Ovusoft to anyone!

whew! Thanks for that. I couldn't figure out how, if I ovulated this month, it could have been 4 days later than usual. 2 days I can understand (which is what ff says) but 4? I thought that was crazy. It also isn't registering ovulation in 3 other cycles that I've gotten + opks in.

After taking a second look it's actually only 1 day later than usual with ff.

You're welcome! When I used it I transferred all of my information directly from FF to it. It said I was getting AF less than a week after I'd actually finished her visit. (Which btw, was 3 weeks earlier so I KNOW I didn't get it twice. LOL) Then it showed that I was going to get AF again in a few days but still had not O'd. I knew right away that the software was NOT accurate.

Thanks for the info on Ovusoft Michelle, I put my info in both programs and FF seems to be more accurate to me. I was worried that I had chosen the wrong program so I am glad to see your post.

I always liked TCOYF better than FF (at least better than FF's advanced settings). I prefer to use the Fertility Awareness analysis option on FF. I like it best most of the time. If you go to analysis>> then tuning/override you will see where you can change your analysis method. I like the fertility awareness method best which is what TCYOF uses.

I also think it would be helpful to have your cm info on your chart. When you have two possible o dates having cm info on there can help you decide which one looks best.
