This is a new one for me!! I have had O pains multiple times in 1 cycle - switching sides each time, but never before have I experiences O pains on both sides in the same day! My right side hurts more than my left, but I have had O pains in both all afternoon/evening. I am still waiting on my positive OPK and a temp spike (hopefully in the next couple of days).

Has anyone else had this happen to them??

I've had that happen before. I've been told there are two explanations for this. One is that you ovulated from each ovary. (Which actually doesn't happen much, if you release two eggs it's generally from the same ovary.) Or it's that you had a small cyst that burst due to the rise in hormones from O'ing. (Don't shoot the messenger if someone else disputes this! Just telling you what I've been told. )

Or, it could just be random twinges and not actuall O pains.

I posted this very same topic on this board once before. When I had my ectopic pregnancy, I was pregnant with twins. One in my uterus and one in my tube. Well the thing is when I got pregnant that cycle I remember having o pains on both sides. I think it can mean you are ovulating from both sides.

Now I notice o pains on both sides sometimes but I think it is because I only have one tube. When I ovulate on my left side I only notice o pains on that side (keep in mind this is just me speculating since I don't know for sure that I am actually ovulating on my left side). But when I ovulate on my right side I usually notice o pains on both sides. I think it is because I don't have my right tube. The nurse said that the egg will hop over to the other tube and I think that is why I notice it on both sides. (Of course I don't know any of this for sure.)

I have not kept track enough of my o pains to remember if I've had them on both sides or not.
