hi

i think im going to have to replace the battery on my bbt?

its a walgreens one the big pink one.

it hasn't indicated the battery is low though.

the reason im thinking the battery is because i have had the same temp the last 3 days. ( in the am when i take my bbt)

i also took my temp about 30 minutes ago to see if it was my bbt and it was 97.60 instead of the 97.33 its been the last 3 days.

so do you think its the bbt?

if so can i get a new battery at walgreens and if so how much does the battery cost?

thanks

It does sound like your battery may be getting weak. Especially since you're getting the exact same temp with 2 decimals. There should be at least a .01 difference at some point. KWIM? You can probably buy batteries at Walmart the easiest. A lot of stores carry them though. Best Buy should have them as well as stores that carry watches and other things that need tiny batteries. They can be expensive though so it may be cheaper to just buy a new thermometer.

You don't think your body temp is supposed to remain at the temp it was when you woke up, do you? Because if you are expecting your temp in the evening to match your waking temp, that's not gonna happen.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say... but when you're comparing an evening temp to this morning's temp, that's kinda how it sounds.

My thermometer went funky this weekend too and I had to buy a new battery. It didn't say the battery was low but it was making sickly noises instead of the usually beeping when it was ready. I just looked up the type of battery in the manual and bought it at Radio Shack (excuse me - "The Shack" now, as ridiculous as that sounds ) for $5.00 Hope this helps!

I don't know. I have never bought a new battery. I normally just get a new thermometer.
