Here we go again. After only two days of spotting this time, AF has officially arrived. I didn't even have a temp drop, so I wasn't emotionally prepared for this. Even when you're spotting, you hold on to that hope. EIGHT DAY luteal phase this time. The B6 did nothing. It got WORSE! I feel like crap. Saying prayers for cycle four... Going to bed.

Oh, I'm so sorry! It doesn't help a lot, but you're right, at least the temp drop can mentally prepare you. How much B6 were you taking? Could you try upping the dose?

I took 100 mg and there are 15 mg in my prenatal. I am hesitant to take more because I read that 200 is the max before possible neurological damage and I do not want to get near the max. I noticed that you didn't get a temp drop either, just AF. That is no fun!

Have you thought about adding in progesterone? Or talking to your doctor about getting a prescription for progesterone. With that short of a luteal phase I think progesterone would be a really good idea.

I called my doctor yesterday but they can't see me until my annual, which is in DECEMBER! But.... this is so weird and definitely tmi, but here goes- last night when AF arrived, it seemed like a normal flow. A little even came out in the toilet, so I just put a tampon in before bed. This morning, there was barely anything on it. I put another one in before work, changed it at 11 and nothing was on it. I took it out and have had no spotting or bleeding all day. What is going on with my body? Should I change FF back to the last cycle??? Any input appreciated!!!!

Your temps are still well above your coverline and you didn't have a long luteral phase if that is AF showing. Could be implantation bleeding. Maybe you should try testing in a few days?

I'd test in a week or so. I know 2 women who were a month further along at the first U/S then they thought because they had bleeding for 1 or 2 days & thought it was AF.

I always have a super short LP, so that would have been around when AF should come, but my temps are still pretty good. I can't believe I didn't really get it, I went through all the crying and emotional stuff, and now my hopes are up again.

Have you talked to your doctor about your short LP? Progesterone can help with that - extending the LP long enough for a fertilized egg to implant and take hold.

With DD, I had spotting around 8 or 9 DPO. I thought that AF was starting. Turns out, it was just IB. Did you test yet?

What colour was the bleeding? Was it more of a brown or proper red flow like a real AF? That might help determine if it was implantation bleeding. I hope so!

I had bleeding with my last one off and on for 10 weeks. I would test in a few days. I remember when I called the dr, they said that implantation is usually light brown or pink spotting, but it's not unheard of to have it seem like a period!!

(((HUGS))) What you are experiencing could be implantation spotting but it also could be because of your short luteal phase. I agree with the other ladies. You should go see your doctor. If they can't see you till December, can you see another doctor? There is no way I would let a doctor brush me off that long.
They also sometimes prescribe Clomid for luteal phase issues. Either way if your luteal phase continues to be short like this I would see your doc. I would not add any more B6 for the reasons you mentioned.

Thanks for all the advice. I am still spotting, but it is not red yet, so I have not entered day 1 yet. At 7 dpo, it is light brown almost tan. Then, it gets darker brown (which it is now) before becoming red. I think that it is bc of the short luteal phase. I was just so excited when it was gone that I let my emotions get the best of me. On a positive note, AF is not officially here at 11 dpo, which is one day better than last month. But I still started spotting at 7 dpo, which stinks. I don't know what to say to the doctor. They said unless I am pregnant, they are booked until Dec. I feel like they won't listen bc I have only been actively trying since June. I left all the short luteal phase info and my charting info on the answering machine for the nurse like they told me to, but I have not heard anything. I am also 26, so I feel like it is just not a priority for them to see me. I go to one of those place that is like a total baby factory, a huge practice where it regularly takes months to be seen. What should I say if I call again?
