I just started taking B6 this cycle and I feel that it has really been doing a number on my body. I'm constantly dizzy and sometimes nauseous. It has been ever since I started taking it, so I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with being in the 2WW. I did start taking another medication shortly after I started the B6, but I had these issues before the other medication. I guess I was just wondering if anyone else has had these issues?? I'm thinking that next cycle I will cut my pills in half so that I won't be getting as much. Maybe it's just too much for my body. All I know, is that this dizziness is driving me crazy!!!!

What dosage are you taking each day of B6?? Are you eating something before taking it? I dont have any side effects from anything, but my body isnt 'sensitive' to medications....unless its benedryl and I just feel drunk! If it persists, I would call your gyn and ask them what their recommedation is because that's not safe.

Yeah... I've been taking 100 mg of B6 everyday for over 6 months now and I've never experienced anything like that.

Perhaps there is some sort of sensitivity or interaction with your body's chemistry that is causing this sort of reaction.

Perhaps if you lowered your dosage... Either way, I hope you sort it out and feel better soon.

Hmm...yah, nausea is weird b/c B6 is what you take once you're pregnant to HELP nausea (only 25mg though). Check with your ob/gyn but I hope you get it all figured out!

I'm taking 100mg plus there is 15mg in my pre-natal vitamins. The nausea may not be related and could be because of my vitamins, but this dizziness is just crazy. I constantly feel like my head is spinning I did take 25mg when I was pg with DD and that didn't affect me, so maybe I should just break it up.

I take 100 mg and have 15 in my prenatal, I am usually very sensitive to vitamins/medicine, but i have had no issues with b6. Dizziness can't be good. I would call the Dr.

Hi there, I'm completely new here but was wondering what B6 helps with? I had thought I read something else once about vitamin b complex during TTC but I was unsure what these vitamins could do. And also, do you take them on top of your prenatal while TTC? Thanks in advance!

B6 helps lengthen your luteal phase (the time from O until AF). Your luteal phase will be 14 days in a perfect situation, but anything under 12 is undesirable. Mine was 9 days my first cycle charting, then 11 after B6. But I'm still spotting at 7 DPO, so I'm not sure if it is really working yet. But some ladies in here have had good progress with it. Wait and see what you luteal phase is like before worrying!

I would call your doctor. You may be building up too much B6 and having symptoms of toxicity. I would be cautious about continuing it without talking to your doctor.

It sounds like it may be easy to take too many vitamins. I would interested in trying the B6 after I see how long my LP will be at the end of this cycle but I would want to research more. Like how much to take and when, and if its ok to take the a prenatal and things like that with it.

May I ask what the LP affects exactly? You don't want it to be too short but can there be one that is too long? I figured a luteal phase would not matter anymore once you concieved and the pregnancy started. That whole piece still confused me quite a bit.

LP length is very important. If LP is too short, then the fertilized egg doesn't have enough time to implant in the uterus, which happens between 7 and 12 days after ovulation, roughly. So you wouldn't be able to get pregnant. Sometimes, even if you get pregnant, if LP is short, your progesterone levels will fall in preparation for the coming period, so you may miscarry. Those are the two problems I know of, maybe there are more.
