I'm 9 DPO today and FF has my "recommended test date" as October 9th... that seems a little far away to me.

I'm not dying to know, just curious when would be a good idea.

Most girls say to start testing at 12DPO to get fairly reliable results. I tried to test on 12DPO my last two cycles but never made it that far before AF showed! Do you know how long your luteal phase usually is?

HI Meaghan...
Im also 9 (or 11) DPO, not really quite sure...this cycle was really weird. Anyways, I've never tested but just had to today for the first time ever because I've never gone this long without spotting prior to AF. Was not surprised to see a big negative. I've heard 12-14DPO is the best....but for a dollar I couldnt resist & just tested.

I would say you could probably get an accurate result after 12 dpo depending on the type of test. I think ff tells you to test wayyy late if you aren't sure of you LP.

With my last pregnancy I tested beginning at 9 dpo and didn't get a positive until 14 dpo. With my first pregnancy I wasn't charting or anything so I have no clue how many dpo I was when I got a positive. I would say that I probably won't test again before 12 dpo (ugh...I say that now...LOL).

Thanks, Ladies! I'll wait a few more days. I refuse to be anxious and nervous. It also helps that I have homework to keep me busy!
