Hi everyone! I am new to charting and here. When I conceived my DS I had used Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, I O'd the same day every month and it worked quickly for us. I ended up giving it to a girlfriend who needed help and now that I am ttc another child cannot afford the price to replace it. I did however buy the digital ones from Clearblue Easy (which were expensive enough!) I used to O on cycle day 19 (my cycle is around 30 days) so when the test told me to start testing on CD 13 I did but also bought another pack in case I didn't have enough sticks. Sure enough I went through two packs and still no O detected. Now I tested every morning around 6 am and only once a day. Is it possible I did still O and the test just didn't pick it up? TMI: but I did have nice CM and of course took advantage just in case around CD 23.

Typically my cycles are normal but for some reason I did not have AF in June or July (never happened before). I am on CD 25 and will start BBT charting next cycle to get a more accurate picture.
Thanks again and I hope we all reach that BFP!!:

Sometimes your LH surge can be very short and you miss it. Because of this, some women test during the day and at night. They tell you not to use FMU, so you could try testing around 2 or 3 pm and then again at night. That could get expensive though. Are you taking your temp? Did your temp confirm ovulation?

Sadly I did not temp. New to all of this and only after I started the OPK's did I learn of the value of temping. I will for sure next cycle. Thanks so much for your help. I feel like I'm barely treading in an ocean of info. LOL

If you sign up for fertility friend, they will send you a lesson for each of the first 16 days or something, maybe more. Those lessons taught me so much, and then I just got a lot of info on here as well. Good luck!

what becca said is true, for some people LH can not be detected in FMU and they need to test in the afternoon. I personally haven't had an issue with morning pee, but my first cycle i got +OPKs only in the morning and not in the afternoon. The body is a WEIRD thing. I can't say b/c your situation is specific to your body, but i think you did well taking advantage of the good CM and that's all you can do!

I don't really like CBE ovulation tests. My sister swears by them. I buy the cheapies online (at early-pregnancy-tests.com) so that I can take a ton of them. If you use the cheapies you can test twice a day so you are less likely to miss your surge. What I do is test once a day in the afternoon until I start seeing a faint test line and then when I do I start testing twice a day. I have never had a problem with the cheapies.

But I also think you should start temping. Some girls have problems with picking up their surge with opks so if you chart you will have a way to confirm when you ovulate.

Good luck and welcome to the board!
